  1. The front cover is gorgeous! Congrats.
  2. Funny you should mention Axl. He's now the new lead singer for AC/DC.
  3. I recently picked up a nice Hulk 158 from Jason. Terrific boardie to deal with. Fast, no fuss transaction.
  4. Comicconnect's auction finished this week. 2 copies sold. A 6.0 fetched $1,720 and a 9.0 hammered at $11,200. Any boardies snag one of these?
  5. I remember that sales thread and nearly pulled the trigger. Congratulations, that is a stunner.
  6. That sketch must have cost a little extra from Neal. Nice centering on that beauty!
  7. Nice book! Here's a thread that was already created for the first appearance of the big guy. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=6199406&fpart=1 Welcome to the family.
  8. How is that only a 7.5? The bottom left corner is a bit beat up.... It's hard to see in my not-so-great pic. There may be pressable defects there, I don't press books, so probably will never know if that would make a difference. The alignment on that book is beautiful. Really a sweet looking copy. Kudos!
  9. I bid on that New Gods 1, but my high got blown away. Nice books!
  10. There have been a handful of graded 9.2+ 217's that have come up in the past couple of years. Here's one of them that I snagged. I love this cover.
  11. Not perfect on the wrap, but I've been waiting 6 years to find a nice, decent raw copy.
  12. Post 'em if you got 'em I finished my Adams collection last year and I really have to get off my butt and scan all my raw books. I have my slabbed ones in my sig line, but not the rest of the collection. Get to gettin', Brian! Love to see raw bats books. I'm looking for another HG raw 227 and 232.
  13. Here's a couple more I've grabbed in the last couple of years.
  14. why someone would feel compelled to chase that book in 9.6 is a mystery. there's one in ever clink auction. there are 45 9.8's as well. IMO I'd rather sink $$ into this then the next "flavor variant of the week" by Campbell or any of the other stuff as of late. Don't get me wrong, I like Campbell but just sayin...... I would too, but just not $2,257.00 worth. Congrats to the buyer and seller though. Super sharp copy.
  15. Not on ebay, but a sweet Bats 232 in 9.6 on the Link hammered @ $2,257.00 tonight. Very strong price. I'll admit, the book was gorgeous.
  16. The seller might consider investing in a scanner. No kidding. It looks great from what you can see. How's the right edge? Any Marvel chipping? The seller has to know someone that can scan the book correctly. It amazes me how someone who is selling a really expensive book doesn't have the sense to properly present it.
  17. its silly to discuss a sales thread here without posting a link to said sales thread. Roy's listing of a WBN 32 9.2. For some reason it got derailed into a discussion of what 9.4s sell for. I can't understand why people throw out "that's a steal at that price". If it were a steal, it would have sold in a minute or the boardie making the comment would have bought it. It WAS priced in the ball park and Roy got a sale a few hours later. Good for him, as that was his intention. All the commentary was just ridiculous. If you want to comment about a book, do it in the GA/SA/BA sections, not in someone's sales thread, whether the seller cares or not if you comment is beside the point.
