  1. That is a beauty. That book is very difficult to find with perfect registration. Nice!
  2. I was surprised I won it. A few Adams books I bid on went for pretty steep prices. DC Special 11 in 9.6 for $425.00? I see another sale for 450, but prior to these two sales, it was a $150-$200 book.
  3. The first 9.6 was over a million, the second wasn't... and the third even less ... I've had two different offers for my 9.2 that make me think this book will get a very respectable price. Barton, I'd take your copy over the Heritage copy any day. Plus it's old label goodness. If I hit the Powerball, I'll be making Barton an offer that he cannot refuse.
  4. Wow! Nice copy. It seems that 50%+ of the copies out there have CR/OW pages. It's amazing that there are only 8 copies at this grade or higher.
  5. Wow, that wrap is perfect. If the CL copy sold for 10K, this one should be sold in minutes.
  6. That 15K sale was in 2009 or 2010? Probably the first or second graded 9.8. Label chasing hysteria. There have been several sales since, well below that lofty price. Heck the Suscha News copy sold in 2014 for half that price. The 10K 9.6 sale is just whacky.
  7. Good for the consigner. Looks like these sales will raise prices on any copies 9.0 and up. Never thought this book would ever achieve 1/10th of these prices. Do you guys think this is a real sale? Confirmed sale. Luke cage is on fire ! I regret having sold my 9.6 copy many moons ago. That said, the copy in the November CLink auction just went for $3,800. Eh, it may say 9.6 on the label, but it's not any better looking (and might be even less nice) than the 9.4 copy I posted above. Agreed. The 10K 9.6 sale is still perplexing. Perhaps the buyer thinks it is improvable to a 9.8. Even so, nothing on GPA to support a 9.8 @ 10K, much less a 9.6. Perhaps some dealers that don't report sales to GPA can weigh in. Paging Mr. Storms.......
  8. Marble rye. I think it would depend how well the book presents and which pedigree it is. Show us a scan and we can throw out some estimates.
  9. Just opened up a purchase from Barton. Accurate grading and super fast, secure shipping and very pleasant communication. Thanks again, Barton!
  10. Here's a recent sale. The book is pushing higher with well presenting copies. http://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fsearch_adv.asp%3Fall%3Dy%26TITLE%3DJimmy%2BOlsen%26TITLEOPT%3DALL%26ISSUE%3D134%26Condition%3D%26ConditionTo%3D%26CensusRank%3D%26SearchPageQuality%3D%26Pedigree%3D%26PRICEF%3D%26PRICET%3D%26DESCRIPTION%3D%26DESCRIPTIONOPT%3DALL%26SearchRemarks%3D%26SearchCGC%3D%26EXCLUDE%3D%26CATEGORIES%3D-1%26WCATEGORIES%3D-1%26SORT%3DCATEG%26_where_forsale%3Dy%26_where_auctions%3Dy%26x%3D0%26y%3D0%26where_forsale%3Dy&id=1084484
  11. Someone is either hell bent putting together a run or not going to pay.
  12. Did someone lose their ever-loving mind? Pending sale..... http://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?back=%2FNewItems.asp%3FType%3D0%26f1%3Di.LastUpdate%26ODire1%3DDESC%26pg%3D2&id=1090494
  13. Nice book, Randall. 402's are very difficult in 9.2 and above. Nice centering and white pages to boot.
  14. Yea, knock off the politics, especially in this thread. If you want to lock a thread up, go to the Water Cooler.
  15. I'll get the thread back on the rails for a little while. I bought this copy a while back from a boardie. I still have my off the rack copy raw in about 8.5 condition. I wanted to have a perfectly centered high grade copy. Here she is:
  16. Settle for a white paged, perfectly wrapped 9.6 IH181. I'm sure the wife will be pleased with the money left over. (thumbs u Sweet sale, Joey!
  17. Now, gentlemen.........play nice, please. Scan some BA goodness and post them.
  18. Looking at GPA, JO 134 last 9.2 sale was 900.00 which was this month. Last FP1 in 9.2 was $379.00 also from this month. Although JO 134 is just a cameo appearance, there are far fewer of them out there in comparison to FP1 (at least from my searching). Plus, Neal Adams did the cover of the Jimmy book, even though Darkseid isn't on the cover. I am always on the lookout for the Jimmy book, not so on the FP. You might also consider New Gods 2, which I believe is the first cover appearance of DS. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong on this.
  19. There are no odors to the book or case. Deal breaker for me.
  20. Definitely a favorite of mine. Thanks for sharing a look. (thumbs u
