  1. More strong sales tonight on the Link. 9.6 Jimmy Olsen 134 $3,400 9.6 HOS 88 $1,700 smackers
  2. A 9.4 Tec 411 hammered for $1,755 on the Link tonight. Holy moly, prices are moving on some BA keys.
  3. X-men 94 in 9.4 goes for north of $3,500 according to GPA? I've been noticing bronze age keys seem to be rising, but that's ridiculous. That's $600 more than the last 9.6 sale.
  4. Mid/late 70's for me. My town was small, so I only bought new issues at my newstand. For back issues it was Comics and Comics in Sacramento, Atlantis Fantasyworld in Santa Cruz and Al's Comics in Stockton. I have fond memories with all of those shops as they all had their own quirks, smells and unique awesomeness. I remember bugging my parents to take me to them.
  5. Pretty tough book in 9.2 or higher. Only 40 copies in that grade block. I assume the print run was pretty low compared to mainstream hero books back in 72.
  6. A pretty 9.2 of Night Nurse 1 went for $700.00 on the Link. That's a pretty stout price.
  7. I saw that last night. Because of the wrap, I don't see it going for GPA or even close to it. This book does surprise though. The 9.0 and 9.4 both have superior wraps. The 9.6 isn't perfect, but it looks a whole lot better, too.
  8. Apparently, on 21 of them yet "there are a ton" out there. ? my question is does CGC require a "bone white" cover for them to give it a 9.8? there are a ton of FP 1s out there. 9.8s I have no idea. frankly, i don't know how any book survives 45+ years and is still a 9.8. and my "ton of" comment was directed toward someone talking about the recent sale of a 9.0. there are a "ton of" FP 1s in 9.0 or better, whether certified or not. There are plenty of 9.8's that don't have super white covers. I'd say it is much tougher to find one with shockingly white cover stock. This applies to any FP 1, not just 9.8's.
  9. which title? Jimmy Olsen or Forever People 1? JO 134 Yes, sorry for the typo. I have added the JO #134 now. As an Adams artwork collector this is a book that I had been meaning to snag in 9.6/9.8 for the longest time, but since it was stagnant for so long I never got around to it until it was too late. Didn't you at one time have the Rocky Mountain copy? I could have sworn I saw it early in this thread. Not me, unfortunately. My best copy currently is a lowly 9.0. Way back when I had a 9.4 or 9.6 from a nice OO collection but sold it well before it took off (pre-2009). That was when I still had my Adams hoard (a dozen or so nice copies (8.0+) GL #76s, Bats #227s, etc.) and decided to start liquidating it because prices had jumped so high. It was MrLatko. I knew I had seen it posted, but mistook him for you. It's a shame Darkseid isn't on the cover of JO 134. I think the book would be selling for double if he were.

  11. Did you happen to nab that from Bob Storms? I saw that copy, it is very nice. Congrats!
  12. Picked up another HG Bronze Hulk from Jason. As usual, solid grading, fast delivery and no problems.
  13. Hmmmm....which 9.4 is going to be on the auction block?
  14. No, it is in a CGC holder (the pressure sealed one). https://www.pedigreecomics.com/auction-detail.php?issue_id=55668
  15. Pedigree just auctioned off a pretty sharp 9.4 for $1,695.00. I hope the winner gets it reholdered as it is in the vise grip holder. It is a pretty copy.
  16. Those are strong moves. But, if WWBN 32 can go for crazy money, JO 134 should too.
  17. Excellent perspective. Hmmmmmm..... First appearance of Wolverine or Moon Knight in 9.8 for comparable prices. Yea, I'll take Hulk 181 ever single time even if 181 had a 1000/1 print run.
  18. PQ was white. I have no idea what the sales price was. At one point, I thought Bob had it listed at $4,000??? I could be off on the ask, but that's what my memory is recalling. You could email Bob or PM him here.
  19. Bob Storms sold the HOM 174 9.8 a few years ago. If my memory serves me, a boardie's wife bought it for the lucky boardie as a present. It was a gorgeous, well centered beauty. The only reason I remember this is because I was drooling over the book on Bob's site for a month or so after he initially listed it.
  20. It seems high grade 9.2+, well wrapped copies are being held onto by collectors. I haven't seen many copies at auction or even on ebay lately.
  21. Anybody know what the high bid was on the Tec 31 in 4.0 that didn't meet reserve?
