  1. Agreed, I think your choices are right. Any thought as to the grades? If ultra high, you'll be rolling in some dough. Good luck and congrats!
  2. I agree with the ASM 121. I remember mail ordering to get my copy back in 1977 or so. I always wanted a 122, but never found a decent enough copy. Someday, maybe. Just too many other books out there that I'd rather pursue.
  3. Some solid picks by everyone. I echo the sweet covers of Bats 227, 232, Tec 400, 411 and HOS 92. I'd throw in Tec 395 and JO 134 as well. I laugh when I read my choices. When I was a kid, I rarely collected DC books. Now DC is 80+ pct. of the books I buy. Throw in WWBN 1 and Marvel Spotlight 2.
  4. If you're selling them, I'd definitely slab them, especially the 181 and GS X-men 1. I would slab the 180 and 182 if they were high grade, if they are mid grade or beaters, not worth it to slab these 2. If the sigs are on the splash page, you're fine, if on cover, then you will have issues without verification of the sigs which usually is a qualified grade.
  5. Is this the same book that was formerly in a Voldemart 9.6 case? That large spine tic looks familiar.
  6. You can get a much nicer copy on the boards for less.
  7. Heritage just auctioned off a nice looking 9.6 for $13,145.00. The Fantucchio 9.6 with white pages goes up on the Link at the end of the month.
  8. Nice! I picked up 4-5 HG copies several years ago. I loved the TV series back in the 70's, mainly because the actress was quite attractive.
  9. It is beaut. Not on my bid list. I had the chance 6 or 7 years ago on a sharp 9.4, but passed. I guess I just have to realize I can't buy every book that I want. Come on Lotto!
  10. I can remember it like it was yesterday. Charlie was setup at Wondercon in SF in 2009, he must have had 20+ copies of slabbed Hulk 181's. It was quite a sight to behold. Most were 9.2+ as well. That man has quite a stash of bronze age keys.
  11. There certainly are plenty of great books coming up. I have my eye on 3 books, but doubt I'll win any of them.
  12. Thanks for letting everyone know about it when I'm bidding! Just kidding Whomever wins that 9.6 is going to have a great book. What a stunner.
  13. How awesome is that? Good luck with your new business. I'd love to trek on opening day, but will have to go another day. Are there any of your marvelous PCH books going to be for sale?
  14. Mitch, did you ever get your Action 1 graded and sold? Inquiring minds need to know.
  15. Stunning copy. And the comics code stamp isn't cut off.
  16. I completely agree that 232 is the most important book. Perhaps the print run was larger and I'm sure that the cover color helps in plentiful high grade examples. That being said, 232 is a bugger to find perfectly centered. I wish I hadn't taken a 20 year hiatus from the hobby. The 91 and 94 prices would have saved me a lot of dough.
  17. I can find many copies of 232 during the year in the specified grade for less than 227, 251 or Tec 411's in the same grade.
  18. On average, that's only 1 copy per year since I got back into the hobby. I think I'll stop once I get to 10. I have to admit, having a shortbox full would be nice, too.
  19. Just giving you a hard time. 2 of my college roomies were in fratenrities. 1 an SAE the other TKE. Talk about opposites ends of the spectrum. I went to their parties, got hammered and didn't join either.
