Two 9.0's sold in July. One at $2,275 and the second at $2,280. 3 9.4's have sold this year. Range from $3,360 to $4,200, with the lowest selling most recently.

I owned both and bought them in the early 80's when in high school. ASM 1 was a monster book at the time of purchase and I would still choose it today over X-men 1. I mean, it's 2nd appearance of Spidey and his 1st book in the series that has lasted 59 years. X-men 1 was an easy pickup at the time and about 1/5th the price. Sadly I sold both about 10 years ago.

Not sure why there aren't more graded copies, as they have gone up nicely in the past 3 years.

This thread needs a bump. Over a year and no new additions?

Marvel Premiere 28 going nuts. A 9.8 sold last month for 10k and a 9.6 closed this week for 2,500 smackers. Will the madness end?

So with these prices, do they more or less reflect the quality of the collection, or does it mean PCH (esp desirable covers) are going upward?
I suspect both. It will be interesting to see what the 8.0 file copy of Chamber of Chills 19 goes for tomorrow.

I haven't paid too much attention to sales, but watched the 9.2 copy on the Link sell for $10,000.00 earlier this evening. Pretty eye-popping.
-
I don't understand it at all. Well, I didn't buy any bitcoin either. Newfound rich guys buying because of the impending inflation?
-
Well, a ow paged 9.6 just closed on the Link for a bit more than 26K. Last gpa sale was 11K back in 2017. Silly season continues. Nice sale for the seller.

I almost wrote the exact same thing.
Still - with the market in a frenzy & the 9.8 & white pages, it should entertain some heat.
I hope it does sell at that price. As coo coo as this market is right now, I've actually sold a few books in the past few months. I'd sell my copy if I get stupid money.

If the top half of the spine was aligned perfectly, I could see someone paying that price with all the other insane prices being paid for BA keys lately.

It's just a cool Adams cover. It is somewhat similar to Tec 411's cover, except Batman doesn't have someone swinging a machete at his neck.

I didn't realize there were only 3 graded 9.8 copies in the census. It would be fun to watch one auction off.

Getting back on track, Star Wars 1 is on fire. So much that I dusted off my meager 9.4 and sold it. I rarely sell any books, but some of these prices are getting out of hand.

Super tough book to find above 9.2, let alone a 9.6. Nice score. It all depends whether to hold or sell. With the price it's fetching in top grade, if you were in the mood to sell, it would be a great time. I tend to hold on to everything, with a few exceptions and miss out on the tops. In this particular case, with so little invested into the book, I'd let it ride and hold. Beautiful book!

Pulled this up on ebay and saw it is on GPA too.
Real sale or Memorex?

TOD 13 in nm- or better?

No, they didn't change anything. Didn't take any of the complaints or suggestions into account.
In all fairness to GPA, it reminds me of when these boards changed their software. Many complained, but most adapted to it quickly and moved forward.

I'm certainly not an expert on OA, but there are quite a few deep pocket PCH buyers out there. If 2 or 3 of them have to have it, I wouldn't be surprised to see piece going for 200K+.
