  1. Two new Megacon purchases from the great Greg Reece!

My first Pacific Coast in my price range!

Congrats Marc! That 90 belonged to me a few months ago and was part of my complete run. Glad it made it's way to you!

That's too cool! I should have known you would have once owned that copy. It's a sweet 7.0 PC.

I'm glad I went to Greg's booth before I left on Sat night. It was getting close to closing and he had just taken in some books on trade and the JIM 90 PC was one of them. I saw it and was.... :o This wasn't here yesterday!

    Grabbed it!

  2. it'll be interesting if the Gov dies this season

    Ya it would be!

    Also......

do you think Kirkman is going to get rid of Ricks hand? He always says he regretted it and I would think we are getting close to that part too!

Nope, that was why Merle lost his hand.

    Is that confirmed?

I'm not sure it's confirmed but it makes sense. I think it would look weird if Rick lost his hand to anyone else unless it is Merle who cuts off Rick's hand. Revenge on Rick when he gets a chance to attack him and side with the Gov in the end before he dies? hm

  3. So after the pain of having a ToS 39 get stolen in the mail, I have finally landed my grail safe and sound. :cloud9:

Nice book and sorry to hear about the mail issues. I'm super paranoid because I once had an expensive watch "go missing" and I never got it back.

I like how the tape pull on the botton panel actually looks like part of the art on the table.

  4. I don't believe I ever got around to posting this. I know it will make the siggy-haters shudder. Try not to spill yer tea.

I love it! It's a very well place sig and the condition is awesome!

    Congrats

  5. So guys and gals. If you had a chance to get some Walking Dead comics signed by Norman Reedus and or Michael Rooker which covers would you say make the most sense to get sigs on?

These will end up as Sig Series books.

Sorry to say but neither make sense to have a sig on a comic. Those characters aren't in the comics and for me, I wouldn't have them sign a comic for me.

I'd have them sign a Blu Ray Cover

  6. It's too early to know a lot about Negan other than:

    1. He likes screwing with people

    2. He can do very violent acts to people

    3. He curses all the time

    4. Likes sex with many women

    5. Has a thing for Irons and guys faces

    6. He provides some kind of protection in exchange for half of each communities food, supplies, etc.

    7. He's about to be confronted by Rick, Jesus and a dude with a Tiger.

I need more info on this guy...where he came from...the back story to form more of an opinion.

  7. All the things that happen in the WD, I feel would really happen. If this really happened people will get god complexes and crown themselves "king" "governor" "god", etc. People would need to be lead, because in the real world there are leaders and there are followers. It's an apocalyptic world and there are dangers all over the place. It's only been what a year or 2? And they're still trying to figure out how the world is going to play out, with the walkers and people. The story makes sense to me, and I love it.

This is how I viewed it as well. After the world goes to hell...no working...no electricity, walking dead people....I can see how some would regress to ancient types of cultures and get Kings, Governors, etc. It does seem plausible that this could occur in a world that truly has gone to hell.

I'm not sure i'm loving it right now but it's keeping me interested.

  8. And if i'm being harsh...people will tell me so.

no way the shipping cost counts toward the minimum purchase requirement

Here are my thoughts on this.

If I was Marc, most likely I would let it go. I am guessing the same mistake will not be made again by the seller.

Also, I felt that the seller could have maintained a better attitude. Marc was hit with full force. If someone orders fish in a restaurant and gets steak, (or nothing at all) and complains, It's not good business practice for the restaurant to start screaming at the customer, and tell him he's never welcome back.

Thanks Mike. I'm letting it go and moving on. I don't think Weekend Comics purposely tried to do something shady. I just think his approach was the problem and was why I came here.

First the reason posted was the book was sold to someone else on ebay then another post that I didn't meet the minimum of $20 and that's why the sale didn't matter... Cmon it's an $18 book with $3 shipping....it's a ridiculous argument to me.

I'll give an example for how one should do business. He could have just said in a PM (and not in the thread)....Hey there, I'm really sorry to tell you this but the book already sold. I actually sold it to someone else on ebay and I realize now I shouldn't have done that according to the rules. Can I make it right for you on a deal on the other books I have or perhaps in the future? Again, my apologies.

That's the way to do business. AND, I can assure you Weekend Comics, I would have let it go if that had occurred.

Thanks for your viewing pleasure and thoughts...consider it over and remove my vote for any probation list for Weekend Comics.

    :)

  9. Good God, isn't one thread bashing me enough?

The minimum order was $20. Shipping cost is never part of an order. In fact, sometimes shipping costs are dependent on the size of your order (i.e., shipping is free with an order over $50).

I did make a mistake. It won't happen again.

I've tried to set it right financially.

Personally...and completely honestly...if this had happened to me over an $18 purchase I'd have informed the noob of their mistake and went on with my life.

The isssue is with shipping it is over $20. And, i'm not buying the book from ebay. If you want to sell me the other WD 43 you have for sale on ebay and sell it here...I will take it and let it go.

AND the price isn't the issue...it's the fact you aren't following the selling rules here.

What I'm reading is that you're not really interested in being "made whole" at this point. You want to punish me. Let the moderators decide if my actions warranted punishment. I've offered to make up the difference. You told me you don't even want to accept it. So it's not about money or comics, is it? I don't want to send you anything because you are demonstrating behavior that isn't rational. I feel that no matter what I send you, you'll have an issue with it, so I prefer to let you deal with someone else. And I do that voluntarily, because you didn't follow instructions on my sales thread.

There are bad sellers. But there are also bad buyers, and you're proving yourself to be one by perpetuating this. Let it go.

I'm not letting it go because if I do, you could do this to others on the forum. That's the purpose of the probation list. To prevent people doing things like this.

I'm not looking to be made whole. I was hoping you would do the right thing and sell me the book you listed. Seems that's not happening.

I'll let the boards decide. My vote is for probation.

  10. Good God, isn't one thread bashing me enough?

Dont worry you are just the flavor of the moment, the Probation Thread will long outlive your botched transaction.

Side point, and Weekend gets to do what he wants, but has anyone else seen a "minimum" requirement in sales threads here? Cause I dont remember seeing any, and that includes some peoples $1/book threads....

Again, Weekend gets to do what he wants, its his thread...

I just think most buyers here arent thinking "minimums" when they start buying (and there's nothing saying he wasnt going to buy more.... and was waiting to see what else was offered in the thread)

I've not seen anyone offer a minimum amount to buy before in a thread. With that said, if there is a minimum the seller must state that shipping is not part of that minimum. With my $18 i'll take it, I included shipping to account for an over $20 purchase, thus meeting his ridiculous requirement.

Did you notice the minimum before you took the book?

One person only took one $10 book in and nothing else in the thread itself. Don't know if he bought anything else.

Black Beetle 0. This one got roughed up, and was VF/NM before I got it. But it's cheap. $10 with any other purchase

    :takeit:

Also the first post was revised this morning, what was that revision?

I did notice the minimum and factored in shipping costs $3. That's $21 and over his minimum.
