why you think it will increase in value? 1st Appearance of new Nova, Sam Alexander.

(%) probability that it will go up. 100%

what price do you think it will achieve? $3. That's double what it is now.

how long we should hold it? Once the new series begins in January.

additional notes: He is already the Nova they use in the Spider-Man cartoon.

Seriously? You guys are going to speculate on books that go up $1.50 in price?

All you have to do is buy 1000 copies!

  2. MSH 18 is currently the hottest book in the land.

Sold a VG- copy in under one hour. I had 3 offers and a BIN hit in an hour.

Unbeleivable. If you got a ratty MSH 18 put it up now. This book is hotter then IM 55 was when the Thanos prequel came out.

Wow. We sure are stretching the definition of a modern book now! :baiting:

  3. Adding my 2c

I also noticed the same picks that Catwoman showed so I won't talk about them, instead I'll talk about some others that I've noticed from my website, The Market, that have surprised me.

    • Amazing Spider-Man #430 still hot at around $15-$20+
    • Kick- #1 is heating back up.
    • Uncanny X-Force #4. wtf? This book is hotter than the first few issues. I'm not sure why.
    • X-O Manowar #1 (1992) early Valiant's are still on the rise.
    • Batman: The Killing Joke is suddenly doing well.
    • Star Trek & Dr. Who #1 covers are doing extremely well in the $10+ realm.
    • Captain America #14 is 1st appearance of Winter Solider
    • Harbinger #1 is again representing Valiant's rebirth.
    • Solar #10 touted by some to be the start of all the variants in the 90's
    • Chew #1 2nd print is getting somewhere in the $40 range! :o

Winter Soldier's first app is Cap 6. I think 14 is just popular because of the cover!

Captain America Vol.5 #14 is a key issue because it's the issue that Buckey regains his memory, it's a key part of the Winter Soldier Story Arc.

A book is hot because of storyline?!?! Can't be! Has to be something else. :jokealert:

  5. Is there something going on with Spawn that I don't know about?

First, I see a copy of Spawn 1 go for $8 at Heroescon, and now I see this 13 issue lot going for $22 with time left. Or is this a couple of shills?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-IMAGE-COMICS-FIRST-THIRTEEN-LOT-SPAWN-1-13-/180929717078?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item2a20406356#ht_500wt_1287

could be shill bidding, but am i wrong in thinking that $22 for 13 issues (even if it's spawn) isn't a whole lot of money? if you're looking to start a run, that seems like a good price to get those at.

13 issues that can typically be snagged at $1 or less? That, and the number of bids just seem odd. Probably a shill.

#1 isn't really a dollar book. I suppose it is convenient for someone to get them all.at once.

I actually could have picked up 20+ copies of #1, for $1 each, this past weekend. Instead, I skipped out on those, and grabbed 2 copies of New X-Men #128 for $1 each.

i have never seen a NM copy of Spawn 1 in a dollar box. $2 box, yes, but never in a dollar box and I spend a lot of time dollar box diving. not saying they are not out there, just haven't seen one.

Plenty for me. I've even seen them in .50 boxes. Hell, I've left them for $1 (but I wouldnt now)!!

  6. I saw this listing last night and I had to stop and look at the bid price a couple times. What is so special about this book that it commands $50+?

In competition with Batman Adventures #12 as 1st appearance of Harley Quinn in DC continuity. Apparently Batman Adventures #12 doesn't count because it's based of the cartoon. (shrug)

i believe there is a 2d print of this as well, so folks need to be careful.

If there's a second print, I've never seen it. There are 3 prints of the Batman Adventures Mad Love book but I don't think so on the Ross book.

  7. Any books showing heat have been picked clean around here.

    My only consolation.......

i'm still pulling these "icecubes" for cover price.

    Photobucket

I posted it earlier but I his a LCS in Charleston last week and it had AT LEAST 40 copies of #2 first prints on the shelf......maybe more.
