  1. I’ve always thought his best were AAF #9 or 13.
  2. Where was this survey taken place regarding how many known copies? Also, you're taking this out of context. It was in the context of relating to a live auction. In which the poster has a vested interest. How would any context change the meaning of the phrases being discussed? I quoted them just as they were being discussed as meaning the same thing. If there is some context that would change the meaning of these words in this order please enlighten me.
  3. In this case, no. They both have the same meaning. Trying to establish that there are only four copies in circulation. Ok, I'll play. They do not have the same meaning. "There are only four copies" means just that, only four copies in the world. Period, end of story. "There are four known copies" means that there are currently four copies that are known to exist, but it leaves open the possibility/probability that more copies will surface in the future.
  4. I just guess that the likelihood of someone making counterfeit stickers would be really unlikely I don't disagree, which is where the second part comes in. Anything foreign stuck to the cover would be a defect, even a manufacturer sticker. Best case would be a green label.
  5. Playing devils advocate, how would CGC know that the manufacturer placed it? Not only that, but a sticker on the cover is a sticker on the cover.
  6. Another to consider, the Tec would probably get a green label or hammered gradewise for the sticker. They’d likely treat it the same as a price sticker. Not worth it.
  7. One of the Wizard shows still worth looking forward to.
  8. Worth keeping on your radar if you’re at all local.
  9. for Texans/Oklahomans that wont be up in Chicago that weekend.
  10. Serves me right for debating that Spellbound as long as I did.
  11. I think that a few copies of that Detective have been found stickered, so that may be some indication of a pattern. I seem to remember only like 3-4 books are known to exist with stickers at all, so it’s a pretty tiny sample overall.
  12. The Action is on Kirk's list of difficult DCUs. The one on the right is no cakewalk either. Bonus points for a sticker book.
  13. It’s not only a retelling of ANH, but a shoddy one at that.
  14. Eh, Force Awakens wasn’t good, but Last Jedi is a bad movie. It’s an even worse Star Wars movie.
  15. Just checking, is this guy the person in question? Facebook keeps suggesting them to me as a potential friend. (The guy on the left, so we’re all on the same page.)
  16. Next weekend! I won’t be able to make it, but maybe someone from the boards will want to check it out.
  17. Once again, it looks like we will miss this one. Might be able to sneak out for Sunday, but I’m skeptical.
  18. I’ve heard there were a couple of huge cancellations, so it’ll be interesting to hear how this goes. If anyone is going expressly to shop for books I’d love to hear a report on the dealer situation as well.
