  1. I haven't had that problem yet, but that happens. A PO box will still help in all the other cases.
  2. Get a PO box for USPS deliveries. Have Fed Ex packages rerouted to the local shop for pickup. This is free and you get the option right under the tracking number. These may require you to go out of your way a bit on delivery day, but they cut way down on horror stories.
  3. And the Flash #96 DCU I've got is a second print, so if anyone has a first and would like to trade I've got about a short box of doubles.
  4. Flash #96 non-DCU direct has the Stridex back cover like the 1st print DCU. My Flash #100 DCU deluxe is not a 2nd print and has an NBA Jam back cover. It'd be interesting to see if @LikeEmScanned's DCU newsie is a 1st or 2nd print.
  5. More like “fired from” if I remember correctly.
  6. Ok, I did a few this morning just so I could make sure I was late to work. These are random from recent buys that I had waiting to be bagged/boarded. Issue, yes/no on 2nd print in indicia (back cover design) Action #699 no (NBA Jam) Action #701 no (Knightfall novel) Action #702 no (Mortal Combat teaser) Action #706 no (Rise of the Robots) Action #715 no (Demolition man ad at bottom) Adv Superman #514 no (video game teaser w lightning) Batman SOTB #56 no (Sliders) Justice League #90 no (Six Flags) Justice League Task Force #19 no (Rise of the Robots) Justice League Task Force #23 no (Stargate) Power of Shazam #16 no (Earthworm Jim) Robin #22 no (Demolition man ad at bottom) Superman #89 no (Weird Science) Superman MOS #33 no (Weird Science)
  7. That sounds like something I’ll work on this weekend when I should be grading and writing. I’m curious to see if there are any others lurking out there. If I find any I’ll note the back covers too.
  8. And here’s the thing: I’ve occasionally checked the indicia of books as I’ve graded or scanned them, and sometimes DCUs say second print. Usually they don’t. Until now I would have assumed that these were consistent across individual books. But what if they aren’t?
  9. Get some small flat rate priority mail boxes at the post office. They are a good size to use for spacers with a backer board in front of them, and they are free and lightweight.
  10. Huh, now I’ve got to see which one I have and try to find the other!
  11. Great pickups! That may be only the second known LT #15 unless someone else found one and kept it to themselves.
  12. Checked my scans, and the latest book I have with the pedigree designation is dated 1985 (ASM #261).
  13. Found another I like in my registry scans.
  14. I had several non-key Amazing Spider-man books from the Twin Cities collection get label designations a few years ago. I'm at work and my scans are at home, but I can upload some if needed.
  15. I like date stamps as well, but placement definitely matters.
