  1. I'm coming around to the opinion that I'm unlikely to add any more books to this thread. I've paid off what I needed to pay off (thanks to everyone who purchased) and I would rather work on expanding my Copper/Modern thread. So I will try to post a recap of what is still available in a bit (not sure how this is going to work in the new boards, but I'll give it a shot). In the meantime feel free to pick through the remainder and make offers.
  2. I keep a list in a Word document that I store on Dropbox and can pull up on my phone. Whenever I plan to go hunting I make sure to pull up the list and screenshot it in case reception is bad wherever I am. If I find someplace unexpected I try to do the same thing in the car before going in. I've usually got at least one such screenshot on my phone at all times. Even if it isn't 100% accurate it will be very close if I'm caught by surprise.
  3. Great pickups! I don't think any of the others are too difficult (the Looney Tunes are uncommon though), but that BA #36 is tasty. I've never seen one before.
  4. Superman #496 2nd print is yours, thank you!
  5. Adventures of Superman #496 2nd print NM -- asking $5 + shipping Very sharp copy with light wear that could be helped with a press.
  6. John Cassaday, Ian McDiarmid, and Josh McDermitt added.
  7. A bit over three months away if anyone cares.
  8. Ok, finally back and ready to resume. I will hopefully be adding to this thread for a while, but we will see how it goes... Maxx 1/2 VF/NM with COA -- asking $3 + shipping Maxx #31 NM-/NM -- asking $4 + shipping
  9. The DC "bullet" logo in the UPC box in the lower left, which is a sort of precursor to the DC Universe variants (in most titles these bullet logos came out the month before the DCU variants started). That variant was only released for one month in shrinkwrapped multipacks. As one who hunts these variants, this is a difficult one.
  10. Texas definitely needs a show with a focus on the advanced comic collector. None of the other shows seem to get strong participation by national dealers with deep stock of GA and SA. There are plenty of good Texas dealers, of course, but if you see the same guys at every show the variety may not be there. I wish the timing wasn't bad for me this year or I'd be there.
  11. Totally agree. And if you read a PM you have to separately get rid of the notification. It'd be nice if reading the PM also voided the notification automatically to save that extra step.
