  1. Showcase #99 Mark Jeweler variant VG/VG+ -- asking $3 + shipping Looks better, but a very light 1" crease in the lower right corner of the front cover and some staining to the back cover. Staining does not affect pages.
  2. Because the new boards were totally optimized for mobile use.
  3. Amazing Spider-man #265 (1st Silver Sable) -- asking $20 + shipping SOLD Amazing Spider-man #500 NM+ -- asking $9 + shipping Amazing Spider-man #533 NM+ -- asking $5 + shipping
  4. These feel a bit more terminal Bronze to me than early Copper, but hopefully these qualify... Daredevil #174 NM- (1st Hand) -- asking $11 + shipping Daredevil #188 NM- -- asking $6 + shipping Daredevil #189 NM -- asking $5 + shipping
  5. I had been trying to get a few more things taken care of before I got back to this thread, and those things got away from me. But today seems like a good day to list a few things. I've gotten most of my sales packed up and ready to go, the wife is dreadfully sick with a cold (so it is best to stay holed up in my office all day) and it is cold as hell outside. So I will see if I can breathe some new life back into this semi-dormant thread and get things rolling. New 52 Birds of Prey #1 NM/NM+ -- asking $4 + shipping SOLD
  6. The toploader is going to dull that pop of color a little bit, but for storage it doesn't bother me in the slightest. If I want to look at a book it is easy to slide them out of a GA toploader. For box storage of better books this is my favorite solution by far.
  7. I use the GA size for everything and never had any problem. Mylite + fullback and into a toploader for the good stuff. The modern size toploaders are deathtraps.
  8. Looking on the bright side, 9.8s can have a minor spine stress or two, so you may be ok. I've bought more than a couple 9.8s with light spine stress. I've also seen 9.6s that have none.
  9. Looks like November 10-12 for 2017. Same weekend as Air Capital con in Wichita.
  10. Yeah, and that New Year's show was Stan's last appearance in Dallas...until Fan Expo the end of March.
  11. Invoices should have all been sent out. If you haven't heard from me please let me know!
  12. Ok, I'll officially close this thread. Today I'll comb through it and contact any buyers I haven't settled up with yet. Thanks to everyone who participated. I was able to finish my time payments well ahead of schedule because of your much appreciated patronage!
  13. They're saying there will be a Saturday announcement. I guess we continue to stay tuned.
  14. I am going to "soft close" this thread. I am still open to offers and purchases if anyone is still interested in anything left (and I still do intend to put up a recap of what is left) but I will not be putting anything new in this thread. I will also be contacting people who have claimed books to settle up. Between the board change, and a busy schedule at work, and spending less time here after the changeover I just haven't had it in me to keep this one going.
  15. No problem! I'd been letting folks shop but am happy to settle up. Just PM me and I'll get you taken care of.
  16. Agreed, and from what I read the layout was horrible and the crowd was very weak. Wouldn't surprise me if this was the last Portland show. Also wouldn't surprise me if this is the first domino to fall for Wizard's bankruptcy if they were teetering on the brink before. Doesn't take too many hits to the cash flow to send the whole house of cards crashing down.
  17. Reviews online were pretty brutal, and the home page has disappeared with no mention of 2018 on Wizard's homepage yet.
  18. All I know is that I've been looking for an 8.0ish copy and prices have been through the roof. Seems like every nice copy sells for more than the last. Very strong demand.
  19. Ok, one more for the evening. Wonder Woman #81 DC bullet variant NM -- asking $5 + shipping
  20. Hoping to get back to this thread in a more serious way this week. In the meantime, here is another goodie to tide everyone over: New Mutants #25 & 26 (1st Legion) -- asking $40 + shipping #25 is the nicer of the two books as they currently sit. I'd put #25 at about VF/NM to NM-, with some minor spine stress and a slightly blunted upper spine corner (more visible on the back cover). A press would likely improve it. The #26 (a newsstand) is about VF as it currently sits, but the majority of the wear is non color-breaking bending or wrinkling that would be helped significantly with a press. Also a bit of dirt on the back cover that should be dry cleanable. I'll leave all these to the new owner, you're getting them fresh from the collection.
  21. And now a few Facebook post saying that dates will be announced soon.
