  1. what the WHAT? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nova-1-CGC-9-8-NM-MT-1st-Richard-Ryder-WHITE-pages-Marvel-KEY-GotG-Character-/161258175394?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item258bbc7ba2
  2. New Series hit Tuesday.. http://marvel.com/comics/issue/49077/moon_knight_2014_1 The Skottie Young variant cover rules.
  3. new series is like a week or so away, no?
  4. Thread bump in honor of General forum trendiness!
  5. I liked it. Then again, I'm not as hard to please as some of these other dillheads. Ha! Being hard to please is a good thing.
  6. Hmmm.. I have three copies exactly like the one I posted earlier.. 9.6s, signed by Stan, JRSR & JRJR... Maybe its a good time to unload some of them?
  7. My very modest comic related collection highlighted by the CORRECTLY painted Moon Knight. (I also have the full set of HarryHausen monsters) I've had that Bats & Marving for at least 20 years; purchased at the Warner Bros. store in NYC in about 1993. Yes, the ear tips on Bats are broken from many moves over the years. I've never seen another one. Marvin is about 2.5 feet tall.
  8. Love, LOVE Hobby. Actually prefer him quite a bit over Green Goblin, who was mostly just cheesy. Hobby was menacing.
  9. I am far from a DC Fanboy, have been mostly a Marvel Zombie all my life. I liked MoS. I guess I baffle you too. By the way, your personal bias is showing. :: -slym ( ) You're right. Most people enjoy gems like 2.5 Men and Big Bang too. I really should stop expecting much more than inane blather in my entertainment and join the huddled masses.
  10. How anyone can claim IM3 was worse than MoS, possibly the worst super-hero movie since Green Lantern or Jonah Hex, and certainly worse than even the prior Superman movie, is baffling to me unless they are just DC fanboys.. which is fine I guess... everyone has bias towards something... DC is in no way, shape, or form coming even remotely close to Marvel/Disney. DC has one noteworthy franchise in a medium outside comics that isn't borderline MST3K fodder.. (And Dark Knight Rises could go either way...) I keep hearing good things about Arrow, but haven't watched it as there has never been anything but complete drivel on the CW.. The announced sequel to Constantine is the best decision DC has made in... well... ever.
  11. It fell into the same trap of Heroes in the FIRST episode. Random peripheral character #16 with super powers is just NOT interesting. I don't care about them and likely never will. Special needs to be "Special" When "special" is common, its, well.. boring. Now IF they start bringing in known but less famous heroes from the Marvel universe, it could get on track.. But as of 1 episode? It's Marvel branded Heroes (which was terrible). oh, and the effects (dude jumping out of the window landing smashing pavement; flying Lola) were badly done. Has there been no progress or budgetary improvements in the last decade of TV special effects? Reminded my instantly that this is TV; not a movie. The English and Scottish accented "nerd" agents? WAAAAAY too forced and trite. I'll give it a few more episodes but any more of this "we have to talk to this random dude who has powers before someone else does" and I'm out.
  12. No way! There were ZERO #32's like 4 years ago. now there are like 8. They pop up all the time. The #33 seems to be turning up less often than the #32 does...
  13. Doc, don't you have that awesome Lenil Yu MK cover too? If you ever consider parting with any of those, drop me alone..
  14. Do you have the big Moon Knight kahuna yet? WWBN 32 &33 Of course. Interestingly, there are 8 #32's on the census in 9.8 now. There are only 3 #33's in 9.8. I also just noticed something... I was #1 in the registry for like 18 months. Then about a week before the annual awards, I was bumped to #2. Then 2 days ago, I'm back to #1.... The usurper's 9.6 #33 seems to have vanished. I sense some serious shenanigans. Book loaning most likely.
  15. I don't really have any interest in ever selling it unless I came across another... I paid $75 for it raw a few years ago.. so I'd guess $150 - $200 now??? It's not super valuable or anything. Just rare.
  16. Anybody notice this gem? http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAuctions%2Fdefault%2Easp%3FFocused%3D1%26x%3D-1040%26y%3D-11537%26pg%3D27%23Item_980507&id=980507
  17. Have seen this thread for awhile. I don't collect Moon Knight but I'm curious...what's the most rarest Moon Knight book? That's including grade, variant and printed. Probably the Vengeance of Moon Knight MRCC variant. I only ever seen 1 other and rumor has it 300 were printed. You saw this image from a few pages back DeadPool? Yeah, I have issues too.
  18. Theres a number of books I still need/want; I've just gotten super picky and only really even look at 9.8s, etc...
  19. I think there is a lot of grey area in lightboxing/copying. I mean, a homage with your own spin/style is cool for any artist to do - but there is a very thin line of public opinion that an artist has to be careful of crossing, otherwise they find themselves on the indefensible side of the argument. What AC did in that particular case with Byrne's art did not do his reputation any favors. If AC did not know about that, I would generally feel bad about that situation. If someone misled me to produce a concept that another artist did and they didn't pay for, I'd be beyond furious with that client. I think he has some genuine talent as well; not just lightbox/grid/copying. This piece he did for me.. It's not a copy of anything I recognize. I described what I wanted and he came up with exactly that.
  20. for a commission I assume? I updated the original post. I hate to pile on AC like this as he did come through with ZERO delays or anything on at least 3 original commissions that came out spectacular, imho. But going on 3 years, even for $100, is just silly.
  21. He owes me $100 from 10/15/11 at the NYC Con. After a few succesfull and not delayed transactions with AC (see my sig line), he offered to grab an MK sketch from Alex Meleev whom he was sharing a table with at NYC. I of course jumped on that and sent him the $100. On 10/17/12 I got this PM after inquiring about the book A FULL YEAR LATER. . I never got a refund or the book, and any acknowledgement of any PM's sent since then.
