The red should go for considerably more than the black if they are all signed by Campbell and Gardner I would think.

Lady Death #1. I had to physically restrain myself from buying YET ANOTHER Vengeance of Vampirella #1 yesterday for $3.25 You and me both brother. I bought an Evil Ernie CGC 9.0 just because it was the first appearance and I have probably had 10 of those Adam Hughes VoV covers at one time or another, ::

I'm going to be sending probably 5 Dave Stevens covers in for grading when I get to Heroes in June (save on shipping costs to CGC at least). I've got a decent Airboy, the 3-D #16, maybe an Alien Worlds 4, Seduction of the Innocent 3-D, and I'm debating sending my DNAgents which is decent but not awesome.

Who in their right mind mails cash?

Out of curiosity how many people on here still don't have one that are actively looking for one of the 3-D # 16 books? It will be interesting to see how sales continue for it.

Yeah, if it was $50 I'd be sweating it a lot harder. $75 is a bit more than I care to pay since I just secured one.

I cracked mine the day I bought it way back when. Bagged and boarded everything and have since gotten a Fairchild quick sketch by Campbell on the blank :thumbsup: I'm horrible at keeping stuff in the package (except I do still have a pack of football cards in the original wrapper from 1972!)

I think now that the bulk of "us" have one and have been paying decent prices for them people are taking notice and going through their dollar bins and starting to dig these things out. I still would label them as "rare" because it is a fairly limited print run from what I remember and the census might start to climb as decent copies are sent in to be slabbed. You might even see some 9.8s pop up but I think they will go back into obscurity unless one of us starts hording them and floods the market later on. That one on Amazon looks REALLY nice. It's somewhat tempting.

Dark Horse put these out in 2000-2001 I think...around the same time as the lighter. I have two of them.. Front and back of the package shown. Warning: Do not ingest. Well they were going to say "licking this airfreshner likeness of Betty is in no way the same as licking Betty so please don't" but it was just too wordy.

I'll have to look and see if they are all newsstand. Up until recently I didn't have the 5th book except for the Portacio variant.

The Black boxes sell on Ebay between 75-125 typically if they sell at all. I rarely see them out of that price range on there at least. It's been a while since I've seen a red so I'm not positive how much it went for.

I printed that off. I'll put it with the book when it comes back from being graded.

Well I know it "exists" because after reading multiple back threads you have two of them right? But they are "homemade" and were never manufactured by the retailers. Still, it's something you have no one else does, right? :: Yep, love opening those black boxes, and I have seen one of the Red ones pop up on Ebay. Thought briefly about buying it but decided to spend it elsewhere. Interesting question here....I have been told, and may have even seen one once, that the blank covers included had a few sketched on and inserted in those black boxes. Anyone ever see one? I think I remember seeing a Jim Lee somewhere. It was just a real loose sketch but if that's true I'm surprised all of these things didn't get swiped up and busted just for the chance....

Ok after going back at least 14 pages and not seeing the first thing to do with Gen 13 other than a foil variant that doesn't actually exist I decided that I would just ask in a new thread. What kind of Gen13 does everyone out there have? I've got a couple of the variant #1s in a stack getting ready to send off (I bet if you try hard you can probably guess which ones) and wanted to see what everyone else has. Any 9.9s? 10s? Original art?
