  2. I sold these two on the boards a couple years ago. In my description I said that the covers looked perfect. The guy who bought them resubbed them and they got 9.6s. I was very upset.
  3. Sell it to me and let me perform some surgery
  4. I'm not into the "double cover" thing myself. I'd almost be tempted to marry the inner cover with a nice interior (which would be easy to find for this comic affordably), and get a 9.6 Greenlabel.
  5. I get it. It makes sense. I LIKE that they graded the covers to inform the owner or potential buyer. Why can't they do that with every slab? If your comic wasn't a double cover it would have been an 8.5 and you would have never known the cover was considered a higher grade. At least put the cover grade in the "graders notes"
  6. A 9.6 inner cover and it gets marked down to an 8.5. To tell you the truth, I'd like to always have a "cover grade" on all of my slabs if it is different than the total grade. There are SO many times I feel like my comics are undergraded. It's probably because of something on the interior. Having a "cover grade" listed on the slab would make me feel better.
  7. HULKLING prototype Speculators, have at it! BTW, that slash page is SUCH an awesome homage to AF15. I wonder who owns the original page?
  8. That stupid "mascot head" is simply not practical.
  9. Groovy is a gag mag that has nothing to do with the MCU. It's not a parody mag like "Not Brand ECHH". It just seems weird to throw the Hulk into the mag. Hulk would facepalm if he saw these.
  10. Saw these two pages in the middle of Groovy magazine 1968. The Hulk's Favorites. WHY? How bizarre.
  11. Ok, so I cracked this slab open, got my jewelers loupe out and found the tiny bit of glue at the top of the spine (it was sealing an extremely tiny tear at the top). I carefully did a tiny scrape which opened the tiny tear...... I resubbed, and...... Comic is coming back from CGC now as a 7.0 Blue Label. Again, I'm not a resto expert by any means, but SO little was required to correct this resto that I didn't mind tackling this myself and saving some time & $. Any bigger resto removal I will always have the big boys do it, but this was a time that my meager skills got the job done. I am very happy. (I'm also happy I avoided the embarrassment and expense of getting another PLOD and having you guys say "I told you so")
  12. I'm thinking that's the source for this repro I just bought. It doesn't have the CF
  13. So I bought a reproduction Suspense 3 off of ebay just to get the middle pages. I was shocked to see the reproduction doesn't have the pages I'm missing either. So now I'm wondering.... are there possibly two versions of this comic? One with an added story in the middle and one without the added pages?
  14. Mine just moved to Graded/Quality control. The end is near. Only 128 total days since they were received.
  15. Value (15 Books) Received 6/24 Just went to SFG today 10/29
  16. I really like the quirkyness, and the mysteries they are setting up. Really laughed when the Blue Dong showed up. The main heroine is a badas$
  17. That's a great looking 4.0! Looks like a 5.0-5.5 from the front to me. Congrats
  18. I thought episode 1 was extremely well done. I'm not going to say I'm hooked, but I'm very interested to see what's next. The Tulsa race riot was certainly an unexpected way to start this all. I was ignorant of this history until I heard something about it on NPR earlier this year.
  19. I guess what I'm trying to have clarified is..... Did they print and bind the comic, and then add the CF? I don't see any glue residue on the inside of mine. I think this comic has 3 tipped in leafs. I guess they print and bind the comic and then tip-in the 3 extra leafs after the binding/stapling in done?
  20. Final story in the comic is signed L B Cole
