Yes, it came with a code. I'm not sure why I got the coupon. I seem to get a lot of offers and promotions from them. There must be a threshold of business you do with ebay to get all of the major promotions.

-Strangers in Paradise had a few tear jerking moments for me. -When Tulip "died" in Preacher it really affected me. It was so graphic.... and the look on Jesse's face. I was very happy when she was brought back. Also, when Jesse fell out of the Plane and Cassidy caught him with one hand. His hand was burning up but he wouldn't let go. Jesse told him to let go and finally had to use the "word" on him. -Gwen, of course.

Double dip on your ebay discounts Yesterday ebay sent me an email that contained a $15 coupon good for anything $75 or more. I'm sure many of you got the same coupon. Even cooler... today ebay sent me a notice that I can get 10% ebay bucks on anything I buy for the next 2 days. So I decided to maximize the 2 deals. I scrolled thru some $75 TPB "buyitnow" sets with free shipping until I found a set I wanted. So using the 2 deals that were out there, I got the $15 off which brought the total down to $60 and then I earned $7.50 in ebay bucks (they gave me 10% of $75 instead of 10% of $60). I just wanted to put this out there so you guys can take advantage of the "double dip".

I'm sure this has been asked & answered before but I think it's worth bringing up again... What approximate percentage of Af15s have some degree of MC? I know some of you dealers that have sold quite a few copies might have a good idea.

I remember this one. I wish I had it back. You definitely got the best of that trade by far!!!! Luckily a raw copy that was in the wild fell into my lap and graded out at 4.0 so I'm not too depressed.

The interior is in great condition. Congrats. The Kirby sig is cool, but to my eye it looks like it was drawn slowly or with hesitation. What are your thoughts on the sig? Any story or provenance come with the book? No matter if the sig is real or not, that is an awesome interior and a great set to have. If you decide to marry them in a slab maybe print up a nice color copy of the splash page to put in the slab bag with the slab. I think a 4.0 Q might be within reason.

I saw this on ebay and figured there would be a thread started about it, but I don't see one. Maybe because it's a Voldemort. I apologize if I'm not supposed to link it but it's a pretty important comic and should be discussed. Imagine the hype as these characters hit 100 years. I'm assuming they are sure to stay a part of pop culture since they've lasted this long. Will their values continue to soar or will they level off and start to decline in value? What do you suppose the best copies of Action Comics 1 will go for in 2038? How about Detective 27 in 2039? Four Color 16 (1st Mickey Mouse) in 2028? Disney comics seem kind of stagnant, but as Mickey gets close to 100 don't you see the values jumping? Pep 22 in 2041? Amazing Fantasy 15 in 2062? Do you suppose Spiderman will Usurp the throne as the the most valuable comic, beating out Supes & Bats?

My buddy growing up loved Conan comics. He pronounced it "Kah-nan". I kept telling him it was "Cone-an". Finally the 1st Conan movie came out and settled that argument.

I bought a set of Preacher TPBs on ebay and before the seller sent them to me she contacted me and told me I only lived a couple miles away from her. She then told me she was one of those people who buys Storage Units at auction. She said she had just bought a storage unit full of Comics and the Preacher TPBs were part of it. She said if I was interested I could just come over and buy them all from her. When I got to her house she showed me 20 long boxes of comics. It was 98% modern (which I know nothing about), but the first box I examined had a New Mutants 98 in Mint condition so I knew they hadn't been cherry picked yet. I asked her what she wanted for them and she said $30 a longbox. I thought that was more than fair so I paid her $600. I asked her how much she paid for the storage unit and she said "$25" for the whole unit. Wow. She said she was the ONLY person that showed up to the Storage Auction that day and they start the bidding at $25. I was hoping to find a Batman Adventures 12 & a Walking Dead 1, but they weren't in there, however there was an 8.0 WWBN32 (Yes there were a few bronze age too) I sold the collection for about $3000 (except for the wwbn32), but the greatest joy I got out of the collection was READING all the modern Marvel comics and catching up on storylines that I knew nothing about. It was fun.

What did the Af15, TOS39, & JIM83 end up grading out at?

Ward is like a cat with 9 lives. He's been good guy Ward, then he was Hydra Ward, then he was Hive Ward, and now he's going to be Matrix Ward. His agent must have signed him to a 5 year contract or something.

I see a lot of JIM 83s where the free edge is cropped right up to the "83" box. If you scroll up this page you'll see an example or 2 of that. To me it makes it look trimmed so I try to avoid that if I have a choice.

I always thought the Superman Puzzle with the Action 1 cover would be a cool one to own. I picked this one up as an impulse buy a couple days ago.

Why don't they treat Archival tape the same way? Just grade it as if the tape weren't there. Many comics present so much better with a little archival tape.

Sorry for the bad photo here, I'm still figuring out the new photo format. I've had this Detective Picture Stories 5 cover for a while and picked up an interior last week (missing CF unfortunately). Pretty happy to have married together a tough comic. Anyone have a CF for me?
