  1. Cool. Hearing you say that makes me even more happy I picked them up. I honestly don't know how rare they are. They just kind of fell into my lap. When I saw Lois on the one cover, and saw how early the date was..... I got really excited about the prospect that it might be the 1st Lois cover. It sure seems like everything "Brazilian" and "old" is doing really well right now.
  2. Where do I find those 3 people? I want them to fight over "Boo Boo the Barrage Balloon".
  3. Some SA&GA coming to me from a barn in the UK. I wonder if all the US copies are stamped? I'm not sure from these pics.
  4. I noticed in the Grand Comics Database they have 2 pictures of "Three Ring Comics". One with the sticker (UK) and one without the sticker (Canadian). Exact same comic, but one has the sticker.
  5. How many comics have you seen that sticker on? Or is this the only one that has it?
  6. This one is coming my way pulled from a barn in the UK. I'll post a better pic when it arrives
  7. Got this UK Matt Baker coming my way. You don't see this every day. I'll post a better photo when it comes
  8. As bad as the comics looked in the cat-scratched peeboxes..... None of the comics ended up smelling like cat pee. The mylars did their job!!!!!
  9. Yes. They're "Newspaper comic supplement" sized. They unfortunately won't fit into any CGC slab. And yes.... Superman's face is green on this one.
  10. I've had some good finds lately. I got these in the mail today. The 1st is "A Gazeta 511" from May 1939. It's the FIRST LOIS LANE COVER EVER. It came out a full year before Action Comics 29. #511 has the start of the Superman story from Action Comics 5. I think these are absolute treasures. Some of these are as old as US Superman #1
  11. No it's just my photo. I think the top edge and bottom edge are curling up. I'll press it flat.
  12. In my messaging to him he said his brother had died and he became the executor of the estate. So I guess he's trying to say they were his dead brother's comics.
  13. Where was this posted? Was this a back & forth you had with him on Ebay? So much of what he says is BS. I sent the comics to California because THAT was the label HE GAVE ME!!! Ebay told me to use the QR code that he gave me. I took the QR code to the Post office.... they generated the label, I snapped a pic of the label cuz I saw it was going to California (which made no sense to me) I don't know why he would give me that label... I figured it was part of HIS scam, but I couldn't unravel what he was thinking. There's nothing he can say that will redeem himself. It was malicious fraud. He knew exactly what he was doing. He can't pull the "I don't know anything about comics" card, or the "none of the comics were mine" card.
  14. The US version of this Gift Comics has 148 pages. This UK version has 192 pages!
  15. This is a super thick comic. Covers are thick card stock and every interior page is card stock. I see Jack Kirby Art on the inside.
  16. This is a cool find. It has the interior to Planet Comics 61. It's also got some of the worst "color registration" I've ever seen in a comic.
  17. I thought I could get the grime off with some light dry erase, but it's not lifting. Unfortunately someone tried peeling the UK sticker. Should I try to get the rest off or just leave it alone? (Is the 6D nonstickered version more valuable?)
  18. Super thick UK comic probably has 2 issues of Planet inside. They used so much glue on the spine (in production) that it comes around to the front & back about 1/2" (so I can't fully open the cover).
  19. Am I remembering this wrong? I thought it was Telocan. Of course it was a long movie so maybe I'm confused LOL
