  1. Came back as an 8.5 I'll take it, but.... man I wanted a 9.0
  2. Got this back today. And they gave me the "New Hampshire" pedigree that I asked for. Cool
  3. Got this back today. They granted my asking for a "New Hampshire" pedigree on this one. It's a cover only, but it's really high grade (except for where it was torn away at the spine)
  4. I press my own books now, so the $ (and time) I'm saving by pressing myself is paying the "fast track" fees.
  5. YES!!!!!!!!! their strategy worked. "Give them an incredibly bad product and they will opt out of it."
  6. OK, my FINAL slow economy has shipped Shipped to CGC in June 2021. Finally marked Received 11/10/21. It SHIPPED TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never never never will I use slow Economy again
  7. One of my 11/10/21 Economy Slow submissions just went GEI and now Shipped all at once. My other 11/10/21 Econ Slow is still at GQC It looks like my Slow Economy nightmare is almost over. Let's hope the cases aren't cracked like the last shipment I got back from CGC.
  8. Thanks in advance for your grade guesses. Presents nicely from the front. 1/4 spine split at both the top and bottom. Cover and CF are snug at the staples. Back cover has small tears and creases along the top edge. The last 2 interior pages have a tiny piece out of the bottom spine (doesn't touch art).
  9. I'm stoked about finding this one. It was hiding in a pile of comics with just a bit of the spine sticking out so I could identify it. I love winning those lots! But I took a chance cuz... it could have been incomplete or torn up in the section I couldn't see. So, this one is complete. Cover & CF are snug at the staple. Presents nicely from the front. 1/2" tear under the word "dollar". Back cover has tanned at the top, but the interior pages overall are nice.
  10. All late 40s and early 50s. Somehow that US "Funny Animal" comic made it over to the UK barn (it's got a story to tell) Also of note.... the 2 comics in the lower left are a huge size compared to the others.
  11. I love how old and primitive these 3 are. Printed on very low grade material. 1945 1946. Wow.... were these printed during WWII in the UK? Maybe that's why the paper quality is so low.
