  3. Hi CGC, After many years of getting my slabs back in great shape, I've finally gotten a shipment back from you with many cracked cases. Coincidently it's the first time you've shipped to me thru Fedex instead of using registered USPS I'm not sure what the procedure is to get these corrected. Do I have to pay? Does insurance pay? Do I have to provide photos of damage (truthfully the shipping box doesn't look that bad, but I noticed there wasn't as much protection on the inside as you usually put and all the slabs seemed a bit loose and jostled) Of the 25 slabs in the case, 5 have cracks or small pieces chipped off at the corners. I'd like them corrected. Do you pursue the insurance? Please let me know what to do. The Invoice# is 4123678, and there are 5 damaged slabs. Thank you.
  4. Here is a page I found in a stack of coverless that wanted to share because it has a VERY interesting feature.... "Snappy" was a one page cartoon feature found in early Crack Comics. There's nothing super special about the feature BUT.... This particular page I found has the artist's info printed on some newsprint and glued to the back of this Snappy page. I imagine it was the way the artist Arthur Beeman got work? He would send single finished printed pages of his work around to different publishing houses? Kind of a cool piece of comic history. It's from Crack Comics 18 Has anyone seem anything like this before?

Back cover has a couple of light creases, a sun shadow, and could use some cleaning. The "Editor page" might be a caricature of Stan Lee (I've always thought that) Comic has not been pressed or cleaned. $80 $70 $63 $56 + $5 shipping
  8. Comedy Comics 31 (1946 Marvel/Atlas) unrestored raw 4.5 1-staple WWII comic. Cover and CF are snug at the staple. Presents like a 6.0. Biggest defect is a 2" spine split at the bottom (there are 2 tiny "tape dots" holding the tear on the inside cover... they can easily be removed). $35 $30 $27 $24 + $5 shipping
  9. Frisky Fables V3 #7 (1947 Novelty) unrestored raw 3.0 Cover and CF are secure at the staple. Comic needs a cleaning. There are some small creases and 1 small punch-thru tear on the front cover. $10 $7 $5 + $5 shipping
  10. Frisky Fables V4 #1 (1948 Novelty) unrestored raw 5.5 - 6.0 Has a higher grade feel to it, but the sun shadows and the crease in the lower right bring the grade down. Cover & cf are snug at the staples. Spine is excellent. $45 $37 $32 $28 + $5 shipping

  14. SOLD Sparkler Comics 62 (1946 United Features) - unrestored raw 7.0-7.5 Gorgeous comic. Gorgeous Spine. The creases you might see on the covers all appear to be a manufacturing flaw. What looks like a small tear at the top of the back cover is not a tear, it's a tiny 1/4" crease. "27" is grease penciled near the pig. Cover & CF are snug at the staples. Comic has not been cleaned or pressed, and looks like it can be improved $60 $50 + $5 shipping
  15. Sparkler Comics 51 & 55 (1946 United Feature) unrestored raw - Both are in the 5.5 range with minimal flaws which I think you can make out in the photos. Nice spines. Covers & CFs are snug at the staples. Neither have been cleaned or pressed $40 $35 $30 $25 + $5 shipping
  16. All Top Comics 1 (1945 FOX) 1st Cosmo Cat - Unrestored raw 5.0 - 5.5 Nice comic except for the 1 flaw. Spine is excellent. Cover and CF are snug at the 1 staple (WWII era comic) 2 "star stamps" on front cover. Comic is not pressed or cleaned... and I think all the little flaws will get pressed out on this one. Still, I'm not sure if the grade can go higher with the small piece missing at the bottom. $60 $50 $43 $38 +$5 shipping
