nice pickup! just curious if you used overstreet to let him know how you came up with your prices, or some other way. i've only bought one collection before and used a combination of gpa and overstreet...
I brought the current overstreet with me and that's all I used.

There's still treasures out there to be found. One just has to look for them. Congrats!
My last two collections have come my way from a "friend of a friend" so make sure ALL of your friends know you collect!!!!!

He had no idea what Hulk 181 was worth?
He knew it was a special comic, but didn't realize how special. If the condition was like the Hulk 180 I bought it was $6000 to $7000 value

After he told me he gave the Hulk 181 to his Nephew he told me he had just installed a new Air conditioner that cost $6000 and that's the reason he was selling the collection. I told him the Hulk 181 could have most likely paid for the Air conditioner... he looked down and seemed pretty bummed. When he looked back up he said, "My nephew doesn't get any more of these comics!"

I found a new collection. The whole "friend of a friend" thing. Yessssss.
I was going out of town, but had 1 day to go over and look. The guy turns out to be 75 years old. I asked him how many comics he had and he said 2000... which is, what 7 long boxes?
We chit-chatted for a while (nice guy), and then he ushered me down to his basement where I saw.... not 7 long boxes, but 18 long boxes!!!. The boxes looked great (no stains), the comics looked nicely organized. He told me he pulled the Hulk 181 to give to his nephew, and a week ago had taken the WWBN 32 into a local comic store. The collection is mostly Bronze to the mid 90s. From what I could see it was a collection I wanted to buy. Since I had to fly out the next morning and was slightly pressed for time I asked him if I could just pull about 50 comics to buy, and then come back in a week to give him a solid offer. He was fine with that so I flew thru 18 long boxes. When I was done with that he then said, "Did you look at the boxes in the other room?" WHAT???? In the other room was another 20 long boxes. WOW.
Here's what I pulled and bought from my visit. I'll go back in a week to start securing the rest.
