Thanks for bringing this to my attention.  I did end up letting my copy go to a boardie today.  Deal is done, comic is shipped, everyone is happy.

Holy mother of God!  I bought mine for $31.  

I figured it might be worth around $100 - $200, but $800???

I'm going to have to consider letting it go.

That looks solid 5.0, with a chance at 5.5

I bought a new batch of these recently.  Most are 1sts, but a couple 2nd printings.

About 15 years ago I too found this book in the wild at very high grade. I bought one copy for $3. I should've gotten the other four I saw there in that back issue bin.

I can't beat your $3, but the seller gave me 5 of these for $30 each.  I feel pretty good about that, especially if I can get some 9.8s

I found 5 of these in the wild and they all look like this.

If this is not a 9.8 candidate then I don't know what is.  Crisp, clean, flat, tight, no spine tics.

Let me know what you think.  

This one is the right era, but apparently Steranko didn't get the note of how to frame it in.  Does it still count?

Reviving this thread with a DC Whitman I just found today.

I never even knew this comic existed until yesterday when I bought it.  Marvel has some really obscure Bronze titles.
