  1. But Richie, what good would the comic be without the tension of knowing that your favourite character could die any issue? If you knew your favourite character was invincible, in a post apocalyptic world, would the book even be worth reading? Jim
  2. Depending on the page I think it would, no problem. Put yours up and let's test the theory? Jim
  3. I know for a fact that that page has indeed sold, not sure how often they update their site. Jim
  4. I agree that everything is for sale, they have approximately 100 pages still left. When the asking prices are between 6k-12k per page, I don't think they'll wholesale them out at a grand a page. Not when they think they are sitting on a million dollars of art. Anything can happen in the future but right now that is not the case. Like I said I'll ask on Thursday, and if they say yes I'll have a bank draft with there names on it within an hour. Jim
  5. They will never slip in value since they will never hit the market at those lower amounts. Tony and Kara Moore will keep the artwork before letting it go in a firesale. The biggest factor is that they do not care to actually sell any of it. not true - there was a brief period where he was selling pages - i believe on this very forum? or another i forget -- and he actually was putting them on ebay -- and they were going for less than 750 dollars -- his prices only jumped up in the last 2 years - and they went from around the $1000 range (reasonable) to the prices they are now -- they really havent had a gradual progression upward.. also that whole "i wont sell bc of principle" is a crock of -- he wont sell bc he wants more money - which i respect -- but if he is willing to sell for 5k, he is willing to sell for 500 -- introduce him to a crackpipe and he will sell it for a nicklebag. when times get tough - he will sell for less -- or who knows, maybe more.. i can tell you one thing - someone with a lot more money than me can come along and very well choke the market by buying every page from him -- im sure TM will sell the whole collection for a 100k payday... I'm going to meet up with Kara and Tony on Thursday. I will offer them 100k cash for the rest of the panel pages they have, I bet you no way in hell do they accept. Jim
  6. The Nowell Brothers have been on a tear lately, if that's a black hole collection it is really going to limit the amount of quality stuff on the market. It also makes Tony M's asking prices a little bit more reasonable. Personally, I sold my one piece of small art and won't buy any again. Just 11x17 pages from now on and covers. Jim
  7. Another thing I can't figure out is why people are so interested to see/predict its failure, demise or bubble bursting? The damn series is bringing life to a medium we all profess to love, and people are chomping at the bit for it to tank. Jim
  8. Agreed, and the ratings peak or height of their popularity is around season 4 or 5. I think we're still good for a couple of years yet. #1's are still steadily increasing...a universal 9.8 sold for $1,725 yesterday. Dre set the GPA high for a 9.9 at $7,200 last week and the last Sig Series 9.8 publically sold, went for 3k last month. People are still interested and there obviously are not enough #1's to go around. It was supposed to be quiet this summer and gear up again in October...the lull never happened. Jim
  9. Bought one for my daughter and I to read the day it came out and have no idea where it is now. Almost bought a couple of cheap raw Escapes to submit onside in Chicago this past weekend, but I'm going to try and go my entire life without ever selling a copy of #100 Jim
  10. Dude...Only one #1? Glad you got the 9.8...it's a keeper now right? Jim
  11. Can I get a promise that once #101 comes out, we'll all stop talking about #100? I think I'm all hundred out. Jim
  12. You can search this entire thread or anywhere else, and I've never said anything negative of Mr. Adlards work, and would never do so. Not my style, as a matter of fact I love his work so much I offered months ago to purchase the entire book (OA from issue #100) but was told you weren't sure what type of avenue you were going to use to sell it. Jim
  13. You know it's not that far from the truth when even your own rep describes some of your latest work as "marginal"
  14. $40 in 9.6 (last sale Mar) $60 in 9.8 (last sale April). Jim
  15. I'll be in Chicago carrying around all your submissions But keep me in the loop. Jim
  16. I noticed this as well. hrmmmm Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for 2,7,8, 33 and 34 and would actually prefer this copy SSed when compared to a 1st print but somewhere down the line someone is going to be pizzed about it. Jim
  17. Speaking of 2nd prints...looks like this one got past CGC Quality Control http://www.ebay.com/itm/Walking-Dead-34-SS-CGC-9-8-Signed-by-Kirkman-and-Adlard-RARE-double-signed-/350585303717?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item51a08332a5 Jim
  18. It's no big deal and Jerry knows I'm just teasing. It was half azzed on my part as I was/am looking for the right Moore piece. Jim
  19. Todd - he is a very nice guy - I sold him a cover Yeah I see that...the cover you and I were informally negotiating on. Jim
  20. Does anybody know who the Nowell Brothers are? Just did a CAF search of WD and it looks like they are buying everything in site, especially covers. Good Grief  There isn't going to be anything left for us peons Jim
  21. I'll be the first to admit that I assumed too much, and have edited my post to reflect that. You did underline/emphasize the world "thought" when speaking of Rick like he did something wrong. That was my only issue. Jim
  22. I thought he would too May I ask why? What's Gator supposed to do with the extra 25 copies if they don't sell...eat the cost? I'd suggest you contact Diamond if you're looking for someone to "help you out" Jim
