  1. Bob: I would have had the WM equivalent of the FF #36 but it sold for a ridiculous price of $2800 on Comic Connect in February and it was only a 9.4 white pager...I guess that makes your PC copy a $10,000+ book in relative terms doesn't it? Jim
  2. Great book Namisgr, btw a PM is on its way. Jim
  3. Without Redhook here this topic gets no more lovin but here is two more WM's that showed up today. Jim
  4. Surprise, surprise I can buy something non White Mountain related I've always been fascinated by this cover and as soon as MCMiles made it available I pounced. Strange Tales #125 Mass copy Jim
  5. Surprise, surprise I can buy something non White Mountain related I've always been fascinated by this cover and as soon as MCMiles made it available I pounced. Strange Tales #125 Mass copy Jim
  6. Ummm...I'm expecting white paged 9.6's get the job done as well Jim
  7. Hey Richie any other WM's you wanna throw in my face :) Enjoy them while you continue to hold them for me Jim
  8. Jeffro: Remind me what exactly is worth throwing up in you mouth over here? Jim
  9. Well with GoonChild MIA this thread keeps dropping to page 4 and 5, time for another bump. Two more WM's to add to the pile. Jim
  10. Speaking of FF #25 here is the White Mountain version that showed up on my doorstep today along with his cousin #38. Jim
  11. I got the #14 through Bill Hughes' auction in February with BigHulkFans help. Agreeing to purchase my 8.5 definitely made my life a lot easier. Bill, I see your #14 arrived safe and sound and you sound all happy about it. Enjoy and thanks. Jim
  12. This arrived via Fedex today and even though I'd prefer the White Mountain copy (which is also a 9.2) I'll enjoy this Northland for awhile. The 1st appearance of the Green Goblin is the most important book in all of fandom in my eyes. Jim
  13. This arrived this morning via the Bill Hughes auction from last month. My favourite book of all time, and even though I'd prefer the White Mountain version (which is also a 9.2) I'll "settle" for the Northland. Jim
  14. Namisgr: This isn't even one of the ones from the CC auction. I am waiting for those two to arrive. Ang, I have actually lost count now, I have at least a half dozen more in the mail to me as well I'm looking at another dozen or so in NYC. Well over 50 in my hands right now since I started this focus 9 months ago. It's been a pretty steady supply since 2008 started. Jim
  15. Well with Red not being here, this thread has been relegated to page #10 and deserved a bumping. I'd really like to thank Harry (Burntboy) for giving me the opportunity to pick up this beauty. It made the disappointment of only winning 2 of the 7 FF's up for auction on Comic Connect two weeks ago a lot more bearable. It's a beautiful old label off white to white paged White Mountain. I just love this cover. Jim
  16. Brass: I did win two of them, #25 and #38. The #13 went for $10,000+ and the the #26 was $6,000...I almost went $6200 on that but KorvacSaga and Big Hulk Fan talked some sense into me. Heck the #36 went for $2900, while the Bethlehem equivalent has been sitting on Dougs site for months at $1200. Even I'm not crazy enough to pay $1700 to upgrade from OW-W, to White. I've realized that the WM's are a marathon and not a race, plus it helped that Burntboy sold me his WM copy of FF#27 the day before the auction. Jim
  17. Brass: I don't know about that, my wife sat up with me last night watching the CC auctions end. She knew I was prepared to spend a small fortune and was dissappointed for each loss "we" sustained. I did get two of the FF WM's but as soon as #13 in 9.2 hit five figures, I knew it was going to be ugly. I want to put all the WM's back together but I'm not that kinda crazy Jim
  18. Brass: Don't get too excited, the TTA #35 is only a 7.0 unfortunately. On the plus side it won't cost a cagillion dollars. Jim
  19. Well you know I respect your opinion...you should scratch out the 9.0 and put 9.2 in magic marker on that slab Jimbo
  20. Rich: Glad to see you have your two new books in hand. Does the #103 look as undergraded in person as the scan seems to show? Jim
  21. Brass: My TTA run from #59 down is actually coming along better than #60 and up. If you check my registry set I currently own the White Mountain copies of TTA # 40, 42, 43, 49, 53, 54, 58 and 59. I also have located the WM copy of TTA #35 and should be adding that to the collection in a couple of months. Jim
  22. Red: Do you now officially own "the rights" to this book yet? Jim
