  1. I was trying to stay away from anything that involved Cream to Off White pages and it took me 24 hours to make up my mind on this book but because Rick is just so DAMN easy to get along with, I took this off his hands, last Sunday at MegaCon. It's the Trolley copy A very pretty book in person. Jim
  2. NOW I am really jealous Roy! That book would go so great with my 7. It would...but don't forget who told you that first? Jim
  3. Congratulations Bill!!! This is the one I've been waiting to see Every bit a key book, one of the best covers of the whole run + a pedigree to boot!!!! You two still collecting this "stuff" Nice book Billy, glad you were able to add this one to your collection. It is a key, no if, ands or buts about it Jim
  4. Bill: I agree with the rest that is a gorgeous #7 and I love that cover. I've always felt that the covers for #5,#7 and #13 are like a little mini set, and would look breathtaking beside each other as a subset. Jim Thanks Jim, you've given me a new quest (thumbs u Bill: I'll watch out for you. I know Stephen Ritter has a beautiful 6.5 copy (that I don't think has been pressed) of the #13. It has incredible eye appeal for the grade and the deepest reds on an MMC I have ever seen. http://www.wwcomics.com/comicdetail.asp?product_id=MARVELMYSTERY_13_56553 Jim
  5. I ran with your idea Jim,and wowza they look pretty together! See now that's what I was talking about Russ Jim

  7. thanks for the props on the r.r. what do you think of the book i got today? I knew I should have bought this book on Sunday. I didn't want to spend all my mad money in one day and figured Rick would still have it when I saw him next in FLA in two weeks Classic story about hemming and hawing getting you nowhere. I'm very happy for the both of you, and now I can go back to looking at books that us mere mortals can own. Jim

  9. Congratulations on your turn to the dark side GA collecting. Those books you picked up are all beauties and will help assuage the grief of the loss of the WMs. Alan: I appreciate all your advice and wisdom you have given me along the way, this little haul has definitely made things easier. It's funny my favourite WM's were my red coloured covers, now my entire collection is red coloured Jim Cool, that leaves me the more rare yellow, green and black ones. Yet you are selling a green one to pay for a red one Jim
  10. all I can say is (worship) (worship) Rick: Thank you good sir, I do still have some leftover play money...I hear a KC copy of MM #1 is available, if only I could find the seller Jim
  11. Who would have thunk that since our little road trip to Chicago in 07 that our collections and our grail books would have changed this drastically in such a short time? I guess we both have good taste Jim

  20. That is indeed still the schedule, many things have come up in the past year (Stephens retirement, new business, cross country move, Matt's new son, busy convention season etc etc) and believe me, nobody feels worse than Stephen and Matt about the delay. Stephen showed me all the proofed pages and layouts in Ohio last month and it's even more impressive than I imagined. It'll be worth the wait. Jim
  21. If I had an entire Timely run that were all 7.5 cover cleaned books with OW pages...I'd be a happy, happy man Jim
