  1. That's new jersey. Debatably America, but definitely not Canada. It's not Jersey, because on the jersey side you see clouds of chemical waste billowing in the wind.
  2. I also don't buy comics printed in canada. That's where marvel lost me.
  3. I can see canada from the observation deck of the empire state building, it's just to close for comfort.
  4. I don't buy from canada for the simple reason the it reduces the money supply, and it scares me that canada might be amassing an army to invade america with all the comic book money we send them.
  5. My postman does just the same - I have lost count of how many books have been folded to mail through the letter box. Even some that are labelled "do not bend". I have started smiling things to my work address! That's the spirit, put a happy face on the problem.
  6. Obviously a shilled Best Offer. sometimes some sales may look like shills but they're not. A couple of weeks ago I was bidding up a book one bid at a time without putting in a maximum bid. I was bidding it up against someone who had put up a high max bid. Anyways, to shorten the story, he must of thought I was a shill and at the conclusion of the auction, he cancelled his bid. I got a second offer and thinking he was the shill I refused the second chance offer. It subsequently sold for more than either he or I were willing to pay. HAHAHAHAH!!!!!
  7. I haven't seen that cover yet, but glad to hear its a different cover. If drive me nuts that they recycled the covers for the reprints, I inadvertently picked up some reprints when it wasn't my intention.
  8. can't wait for the tpb already, haven't read any of the issues yet.
  9. You can probably find these in dollar bins, I bought a bunch of these a few years ago from a boardie for like a buck a pop, in like 9.6/9.8 condition.
  10. We'll know in a day or two when comichron puts out his sales data for the month of February. My personal opinion is that its lower than the 12000 print run of issue 3. I don't think retailers had time to adjust their orders before the book started gaining momentum.
  11. 1a-b - 5 $100 http://www.ebay.com/itm/MANIFEST-DESTINY-1-ottley-variant-2-3-4-5-1st-print-set-6-iMAGE-SKYBOUND-/360876272879?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item5405e6ecef
  12. a 1a-b - 5 sold on ebay for $87 http://www.ebay.com/itm/MANIFEST-DESTINY-1-ottley-variant-2-3-4-5-1st-print-set-6-iMAGE-SKYBOUND-/131134436020?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item1e8838b2b4 I could have sworn I saw one sell at $100, but I can't find the listing now, or maybe it was a best offer accepting, I can't remember.
  13. What's up with this book and the census, why are numbers holding at 31 reg/34 ottley/ 24 LLBC. How long before we start to see census numbers really start to jump.
  14. You should do what I do, I only watch the season finale of any TV show. I only watch the superbowl, I only watch the round of 2 in the Final Four, I only watch the Finals in the NBA, I only watch...etc...you get the point, I only watch the relevant parts.
  15. Foreign language for the domestic market, what do you guys think of that?
  16. No amount of shilling can prop up the value of a book that's cold. And no amount of shilling can obligate buyers to pay more than their highest bid.
  17. That's great! Sales are up 3000%, sold out at every supermarket I went to.
  18. I try to get into my LCS as soon as they open, not that they sell out quickly, but it becomes increasingly difficult to find 9.6/9.8 books as the day/days pass. A lot of books get manhandled throughout the day.
