  1. Dude, I don't know you but based on your posts, you seem to be a decent fellow, but this makes you appear to be the "King of Shills". Really!? Wow, man. You have tried to make it a little less blatant. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=7610429&gonew=1#UNREAD what a self-serving SOB
  2. Wow no one responded to my prediction, guess no one believes me? Livewire, what kind of character is he, can you download illegal songs from him.
  3. You are probably right though, but only fresh blood really falls prey to these predatory shilling practices. The smart money can't be fooled. Most of us hear probably would not fall prey to one of these shills. Like I said in another thread, I decline all second chance offers out of principle, just in case.
  4. With so many items seeing rises in price to new levels, more than the shilling, its gotta be all the new money come into the market. New persons into the hobby may not know how to price items that are continuously seeing new highs. I remember back in 2010 when I returned to collecting, I was overpaying for everything. New hobbyists with low feedback can often be confused with shills. I only have a feedback of 36 on ebay and sometimes I like to manually increase my bid increments one bid at a time. I sure it must give other bidders pause for thought.
  5. I found a comment from the documentary humorous how they believed that they might find prehistoric animals in the undiscovered country.
  6. I just saw the national geographic documentary for Lewis and Clark and I can see Sacajawea playing a huge role for some time to come.
  7. it's doesn't surprise me what's going on with the 110, every nerds fantasy to be raped by a beautiful woman.
  8. How long have you been "lurking" around here. I've been reading this forum for over a year. I only recently made an account, and that's simply to be part of the community. I like collecting, I'm not a seller; and I'm sure I'm at least 4 of those things on that list! don't sweat it, the legits have nothing to be concerned about. The illegits get busted and run out of town rather quickly.
  9. How long have you been "lurking" around here. shill account, he's probably one of those members with 60,000 post who's concerned with preserving their reputation, hahahaha or a mod, who doesn't fear losing their board privileges.
  10. the book is too hot to keep up with price adjustments. it's as if any reasonable price above the previous high gets picked up as well. I thought your asking price had initially been too high, but i see that you sold them quick.
  11. Wow. I miss Andy. He would love this news. Does anyone remember if these were initially available at Midtown comics retail locations, I distinctly remember buying every single variant was they were coming out for The wake, hinterkind, basically all the variants for the Vertigo titles, but I don't remember seeing this one in the store on release day.
  12. Some dude sellinghopf, man that dude is quick to adjust his prices. Man, that dude sellinghopf was slow in raising his price....hahaha. what the hell do I know about high frequency trading.
  13. Saw it last night for the first time in the company of four 40-something, relatively well-adjusted comic geeks. All thought it was a 9 out of 10 type movie, and on par, or better, then either Avengers or Iron Man. For some, the story-line was superb. Others really liked the Winter Soldier as a believable menace, as opposed to the cardboard cut-out villain we are often treated to. Frankly, I think the action sequences themselves were vastly superior to anything we've seen in a Marvel movie. The emphasis on live-action during chase and fight scenes, as opposed to CGI, really knocked it out of the park for me...felt like I was at one of the Bourne films again. My wife and I will be seeing it tonight....frankly, I can't remember the last time I saw a movie in the theatre and was itching to go back to see it so soon. +1,000,000
  14. wow, that looks incredible, never imagine the inks looking like that all covered up in colors.
  15. Some dude sellinghopf, man that dude is quick to adjust his prices.
  16. The only post that I've ever had pulled are the ones where I make fun of seandinglelingfingh.
  17. so, I make one little innocuous comment, and I get the poop piled on me. I'm strictly a collector, but I have no qualms with a flipper trying to profit. If we are concerned about readers getting copies, there are the multiple printings, the digital copies, the illegal downloadable digital copies, trade paperbacks, etc. I see no reason to be concerned for the readers sake. As a matter of fact, the buying frenzy probably brings a lot of attention to a title and probably new readers. If your're a smart collector, you simply wait out the speculators, wait for the dump, than, scoop them up on the cheap.
  18. let's hope the increase is not mostly made up of speculators, but of readers too.
