Given that Daredevil hadn't been relevant in years when Smith did that, I wouldn't describe it as "totally" unnecessary. I know I didn't care when I saw it...Karen Page had never seemed as interesting after Elektra came along.

I just wanted big, massive battles, and I got them, so I loved it. Before this film, the best Superman fight in movie history was Neo vs. Agent Smith in "Matrix: Revolutions," so this film finally gave us great Superman battles that were actually in a Superman movie.

It's important to note that the skull concept wasn't his idea, it was George Lucas's. So Koepp can't really be blamed for what most people disliked about that movie.

The hype over this movie is so high right now that I expect extremely mixed reviews between one significantly large group of people who will love it no matter what and another who are disappointed that it leaves the problems of child hunger and world peace unsolved.

I see it as the most un-Oscary nomination in the history of the awards. They rarely nominate anything that isn't heavy on individual or social commentary, and while Fury Road had some of that, the strength of that message pales in comparison to the focus on action.

I paid close attention to limiting my fluid intake before I went to see Watchmen. As a result I was able to enjoy the brilliant Dr Manhattan origin sequence in complete comfort. Odd that you picked that particular sequence as the one likely to trigger it...seeing giant blue wang on the big screen gets your juices going, I'm guessing?

Why was Fox meddling, and was Trank's "losing it" tied to his dismay over them monkeying with the direction or was it completely independent of that?

I was wondering that. And if the viewers react positive to this episode, is that the green light Fox is looking for? I wasn't paying close attention at the end, but I wondered all along and heard Mulder and Scully talking about how they set a lot of their interactions up with the other two agents for some specific purpose. Did the end indicate what their goal was with the two of them?

I won't be able to set aside 45 minutes for quite a while...who gets blamed by those "trankgate" videos more, Trank or Fox?

That makes no sense whatsoever given that David Goyer co-wrote it and also wrote Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, and Man of Steel.

The costume is exactly the same. I don't want to hate on it, but I can't seem to help myself. Someone talk me through why it isn't as bad as I seem to think it is.

I, too enjoyed the anthology episodes over the conspiracy arc episodes. BUT - and I am stunned to read laughing is "the problem"? Three episodes almost always included in a list of the best X-Files episodes are: HUMBUG CLYDE BRUCKMAN'S FINAL REPOSE JOSE CHUNG'S FROM OUTER SPACE All three were written by Darrin Morgan and all three had great humor and all three are fan favorites. When I learned Morgan was the writer for S10E3 I was psyched, and my psychc-ed-ness was well deserved. It was a classic Morgan episode. Laughter is a problem INDEED! The best X-FIles episode is "Tithonus" where a photographer somehow manages to show up at the moment of people's death to take photographs of it happening. I have a bad feeling about this... Well, it's Fox, so if Bryan Singer is losing it, there's no safety net to catch him. No need to panic yet though.

I'm enjoying it. Episode 3 was a bit painfully cheesy, but I enjoyed the second episode quite a bit.

I thought Ledger looked incredible when I first saw him as the Joker. Then the trailer came, and I was sold. Then the movie came, and I was convinced. Yea, the buzz was out about his performance before he even died. I remember regretting that he'd never get to play Joker again long before the movie came out just based upon how well people were saying he had played the role.

I'm holding you to this.

Hopefully, but this trailer didn't convince me of that. The teaser told me that it would be competitive with Ledger's performance--which is simply amazing--but the trailer didn't tell me much. All we saw was Joker laughing maniacally and doing vaguely evil stuff.

My hopes are not high. Rogen has almost no writing, directing, and producing credits, and the few things he has done have been mediocre at best. They've also all been comedies, no drama at all, and even though comedy is his thing, his creator credits on comedies have been blah. I fully believe he wants to do an awesome job here, and hopefully, he will...but to date, he hasn't shown himself to be capable. It's a longshot, but we can hope for the best.
