  1. Yeah, I'm not feeling the golden shower WW poster myself. It sounds like you're feeling something quite different from that poster than the rest of us.
  2. Where do I see such graphs? I'm where you were in college, it seems uninteresting. I wasn't aware that the cost efficiency has been doubling every 18 months.
  3. It's the second-best superhero film ever created. There are so many scenes to point out as being exceptional in that film, but the one that hits me the hardest is the one with Aunt May telling Peter what Spider-Man's disappearance means. It captures everything about humanity that makes me prefer superhero stories.
  4. Fusion. It's my favorite technology. It has the greatest potential to take mankind to the next step of civilization...I'm frustrated that we don't devote more resources into making it a reality. There is an international effort to build a reactor though--ITER, the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor currently being built in France. It may fail, but , hopefully it won't and either way we'll get there. https://www.iter.org/
  5. He's got links to that in his master list. Marvel has the production rights, Universal has the distribution rights. Same deal with him as with Hulk. Meaning he could show up in an Avengers movie. Fantastic I doubt it. Disney hasn't done a Hulk since they bought Marvel probably because they don't like the idea of splitting profits with Universal. Putting Namor in an Avengers movie might mean Universal gets a piece of the Avengers pie that Disney doesn't want to give them.

  7. New friendship? It's magical! How lame. They should have been able to tell them to bend over and grab their ankles to get those. Maybe they only let them have them in 1-year increments. Let them get a successful series or two up, then gouge them in a year or three for something like the FF rights back.
  8. So there's no indication that Marvel got anything at all for letting Fox use the X-Men television rights?
  9. Even Quesada wants it to be red. They HAD to have heard the fan reaction to the costume...why not change it?
  10. I hope the reddish appearance in that new pic isn't just a trick of the light and that they did change the color to red.
  11. I see all the same stitches and angles everywhere. The seam across his forehead is very difficult to see due to the lighting and angle but it's still there. The top stitches are very visible--do you mean the ones going from his horns to the back of his head?
  12. What's different? It looks more red in that pic, that's the only difference I can spot. But the color may be skewed.
  13. Not one mention of a compelling story--you could copy and paste this into a description of Fast and Furious 8 if you remove the word "Trek" from that paragraph. Still sounds like he's describing an action-heavy flick and not a compellingly original Star Trek-type exploration science fiction story.
  14. There's this star ship. And it has a crew. And at times they are really tight with one another. Other times, not so much. But what makes it tough is sometimes they are out there for five years together. FIVE YEARS! I know. That's a long time. JJ Abrams took a risk with injecting Star Wars-like action into Star Trek. Star Trek has historically been about exploration and discovery, but JJ wanted to balance that with action. He did it wonderfully, but I'm not sure most directors can do that. Now that Abrams has energized Star Trek for the masses, it looks to me from this trailer that the Fast and Furious director has said "meh, discovery, whatever" and is focusing on the action. To the point that he didn't even think pitching the film's story was even necessary in the trailer. Not ready to condemn it, but I'm skeptical. The trailer stunk as a Star Trek piece.
  15. Saw the trailer this morning for the first time. What's this movie about?
  16. stop after season 5 and pretend the rest never happened +1 I either lost interest and didn't watch enough episodes or have forgotten exactly what happened, but didn't they end up explaining Mulder's sister's disappearance as her being the victim of a serial killer? I vividly recall one episode painting that picture, but I can't rule out subsequent episodes reversing that idea.
  17. Are you sure? No, I think there's a break. IMDB shows the episodes continuing uninterrupted, but they must have put in dates assuming it would be that way. The site still shows episodes 13 and up being in December, but oddly they changed episode 12 to just say "2016." http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3749900/episodes?season=2&ref_=tt_eps_sn_2
  18. One of my favorite television shows. Why are they playing up a "fall finale"? IMDB shows episodes continuing non-stop for a while with another new one next week. Just empty hype?
  19. Not for a decade unless Marvel makes a deal to get them back.
  20. That's right out of the comics, although they do tend to overplay it in the films. I assume electricity has always been one of his weapons because electricity itself is one of the most powerful natural forces and controlling it is one of science's greatest achievements, so it fits with a character that's part scientist, part sorcerer. My understanding of his control of electricity has to do with his armor, not as a power. He's a sorcerer but also a crazy mad scientist. I mean that they keep giving him electric powers & not a suit that controls electricity. Granted, I may be wrong that it's like 90% suit for his power over electricity, but I was pretty sure that was the case. Yea, it's the suit in the comics and he has no powers apart from sorcery. Most authors and artists don't even show him using sorcery, but sometimes they do. All of the modern incarnations show him as gaining powers along with the FF starting with Ultimate FF and including both films. Not sure when the sorcery elements started because I so rarely see him using them. Was he a sorcerer in any of the Lee/Kirby stories? I don't remember any where he was. I do remember him using tons of gadgets he invented though...I thought that Lee wanted him to be a pure mad inventor.
  21. Does he need to? That's been implicit with virtually all of your posts for many, many years. You ting on any creative work is like a stamp of nearly guaranteed quality.

  23. Yep. This show will suffer even more than the Walking Dead from not being on HBO or Showtime.
