  1. I subbed books end of October and am now around the 15 week wait without any movement. So I think you'll be in the new TAT if you subbed Dec/Jan. 15 weeks. For pressing?
  2. My understanding is anything in progress is subject to the TATs as currently stated.
  3. CCS falling behind on TATs is compounding a longstanding problem with CGC. While my experience with both companies has been positive from a product standpoint, the constant issues with TATs are a real issue. For example, I sent in a handful of books for a press/CGC grading in early December. Based on the stated TAT times, the pressing will be done around sometime in early March and then I get to wait another 3 months for CGC to grade them. That's half a year for an end-to-end process that's supposed to take a little over 2 months tops. There's no reason to Fast Track either because those options have also fallen behind where they should be.
  4. The only reason I used them in the first place was because they were "relatively" quick with their services. I'm not sure what happened.
  5. "QuickPress" is also at 4-6 weeks. Isn't this supposed to be the slow season for submissions? Is there even such a thing as a slow season for CGC submissions these days?
  6. Well, I think it's time to create a thread for CCS TATs. When I sent my most recent pressing submissions to CCS (one in December, one in January), the stated TATs were 2-3 weeks for Fast Track and 4-6 weeks for Standard. I just checked the website today and the current TATs listed are: 4-6 weeks for Fast Track 10-12 weeks for Standard WTF?
  7. Does anyone know the difference between CCS' QuickPress vs their standard pressing service, other than the 20 book minimum for Quickpress? The standard pressing service costs $4 more per book and takes 2-3 times as long.
  8. Of the three contenders for Jessica Jones, Alexandra Daddario has the right look. And she is something else in True Detective.
  9. MFT Pre-screen Received: 10/20 Verified: 10/29 Scheduled for grading: 11/04 Graded: 11/05 Grading/QC: 11/15 Shipped: 11/15 Went from graded to shipped on a Saturday.
  10. Is Modern Fast Track given priority over Standard? Both are supposed to have 15-day turnaround times, but it looks like MFT might be faster. Yes, because MFT is supposed to have a 10 business day TAT as opposed to 15-days.

  14. The Balloon-man? This show is getting silly really fast. Like clown shoes.
  15. I'm not sure I like their version of Alfred either. I like my Alfred to be more "refined English gentleman" and less "Cockney street tough."
  16. I'm still on the fence about this series. I like the concept and want to like the show, but some of the acting and dialogue is cringe-worthy. I'm in agreement that Penguin, Gordon, Selina, and, to an extent, Bullock are done well. I even kind of like the Riddler character. Fish Mooney and the rest of the gangsters are pretty laughable. Jada Pinkett Smith needs to take it down a notch or two.
  17. Received my second package from Brian in the last week and couldn't be happier. Lonetree is a top notch boardie.
  18. Someone told me you can typically tell what made the pre screen cut before grades post. Is that correct? Yes. You'll be able to tell once they hit graded. If they are Moderns, "Modern" will be listed under Category. If it's not there, that book didn't make it.
  19. I'd call now. That seems unusually long for a one book FT sub.
  20. I bought a CGC comic from Mike and he shipped quickly in bulletproof packaging. I would not hesitate to deal with him again.
  21. day 15 not including weekends>>>5 day Magazine Express Submission receive Aug 18 was told it will be ship to me by Friday 9/5 no email receive or imaged. From experience, magazine submissions can be unexpectedly longer than normal. It's the encapsulation. I was told they have to stop and re-calibrate the machine for the larger slab size. Of course maybe they now have more machines ? At this point I don't think unexpectedly can ever be used in the same sentence as late when it comes to CGC. Ftr I like CGC. I just don't get why people don't vote for change with their wallets. Stop subbing for awhile. I guarantee the world will not come to a crashing halt. Demand they address their lateness issue. Continuing to give them money doesn't effect change. Anybody ever ask CGC why they don't invoice at the time they ship? Lots of businesses operate in such a fashion. I'd bet a years salary against anybody that there delivery performance would improve 10 fold if they were getting paid after they delivered and not before. This is essentially how pre-screens operate and those run even later than standard submissions.
  22. UPDATE: One invoice shipped 9/2. Still waiting for the other invoice to ship despite them being received at EXACTLY THE SAME TIME. #FIFO
  23. Modern Slow Track (Pre-screen - moving at a glacial pace) Received: 06/13 Verified: 07/16 Scheduled for grading: 08/13 Graded: 08/14 Grading/QC: 08/21 Shipped:
  24. I think Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam would ROCK (sorry). But no matter who he plays, who do they get to play the other role? It would have to be somebody just as big and physically imposing to make it believable. Right? I think they could get away with a slightly smaller Shazam since Billy Batson is a kid and Black Adam is an adult, but not vice versa.
