Mail call today on my Crain books! Very happy with all of them. You can tell that he selects colors that would go well with a particular book. Kinda wish he would have done Red & Blue colors on the Carnage USA 1, but that's just a minor point to wish for.

Wait, there's a conflict with the submission due date. That notification says by July 13th (yikes, that's soon!). I don't collect them. But I loved the Penthouse Comix magazine-size series back in the 90s. Had my original copy of Issue 1 slabbed a few years back.

So, probably a test run to see how well digital-only books do. I hope it failed miserably.

So I received cancelation notifications from DCBS today for several Marvel titles, with the reason being 'Canceled by Marvel. This title is now only available digitally.' Titles include: Ant-Man, Ghost-Spider, and Star And those are only the ones that I'm aware of simply due to those books being canceled from my order. I'm sure there are other titles as well. Not a good sign. And I'm more than a bit peeved that Marvel cannot commit to finishing a 5-issue limited series in print for those fans / collectors that invested in the first two or three issues. Makes me not want to buy their books as they come out anymore. Forever going to be unfinished limited series in my collection. Ugh.

I think that's my problem with the standard cover. It's just so blah to me. Of course, if it jumps to a $100 book, it'll look a lot better.

I was looking at buying a couple copies of Issue #1. But then saw that there are like 250 different covers for that book and said forget it. It was too confusing. There's one or two covers that I like and may still get, but it's not a priority for me at the moment.

Yeah, I wasn't even aware of the Infiniti signature of his, or I would have requested that myself probably. Asking for a Crainbow sig is very clever. I will be planning on that in the future for sure.

Clayton Crain has been signing this week. CGC has posted some videos of him signing and talking about his autograph(s) through their Instagram page.

Sent off the second batch of books today: Chris Claremont -- X-Men 137, Avengers Ann. 10 George Perez -- Astonishing Tales 25 (found a second lower-grade copy for autograph purposes), Crisis 1 & 7 Frank Miller -- Wolverine 1 & 3, Batman 404 I'm fairly certain I only have a shot at 9.8 on the Batman 404, unless CCS does an amazing job on a few of the others. That's ok though, these are going straight into my PC as personal faves.

So Steranko now. That's another interesting name for me to consider getting a book or two signed.

Decided to send in three Crain books after all: Carnage USA #1, and Venom vs Carnage #1 & 2. Gonna mail them off in the morning, so hopefully there's no delay getting them there this week.

I see the Wolverine label for Crain's signing. It's the 5th option down. If you're not seeing it, definitely call CGC first thing in the morning. You'll want to mail off the books to them tomorrow since they basically have to get there this week before the deadline.

Appreciate the advice. I think you're right. I'm going with my gut and hold back on the AT 25 with Perez. I'd rather shoot for the better chance of a 9.8 on it. I'll look for something else for him to sign. I'm just a sucker for an artist's first professional work, especially the legends. Oh well. Time to look over my copies of Crisis books! For Claremont, I've got X-Men 137 and Avengers Annual 10. I think. For Miller, I've got a couple issue of the Wolverine mini-series. It is rather a shame that they won't do both Miller and Claremont on those.
