It's always very tough to tell people what to grade and what not to grade. I'd suggest checking graded vs raw prices on ebay and see if it makes sense to you (personal/resale) some are definitely not worth grading as they are too damaged like Clefable . Some might be fore sure depending on the condition like Raikou. If most are 8's or better from the pics they likely make sense to be graded. Below that and you are likely not going to get much benefit save a few.

I hope the buyer goes and gets a refund...

Part of the changes to this are very welcomed changes I think from everyone. Many times celeb lines are HOURS long. You've paid $80 to go to the con to then stand in like for hours hoping to get a chance at a pic or auto. Instead of being able to enjoy the show. So now they presell the tickets and you get a date/time as to when to show up. Now you can spend time wandering the con seeing the booths, spending money, looking at cosplay, having food etc etc without having to spend 3-4 hours waiting in line. Just like tickets you no longer have to sleep outside the venue for a day or two you just have to be fast (and lucky) when they go on sale. As for them charging different fees well that is up to them and if you don't like that vote with your wallet.

We set up at this show and have for several years. It's a good fun con because it's in Niagara Ontario. There likely won't be many golden age books in the room, however, if you are looking for silver/bronze/copper marvel/dc we'll have a good stock of that. Last year we did more business at NFCC than we did at Toronto Comic Con. They don't have the dealer list up so I don't know all of who is coming, but there of course will be your typical con vendors these days from plushies to swords to comics to funkos etc

I won't say my PS Moderns were checked into the system on the 16th and have already shipped

100% agree it's absolutely ridiculous that ME's are 3 months especially on walkthrough books.

Come on now. CGC essentially said off to their customers if they don't like the case because of a defect in CGC's process and pay us for it: - severe newton rings (without pointing fingers I don't think the other competitors have this issue). Crystal clear case if you can look past the newton rings that cover the entire face of the book. - cracks/shards in the case (there is clearly a new/change in the plastics) causing these. I wouldn't be surprised if these happen during shipping. So let's put a scenario together. I consign a book to Clink, I ship to them, they ship to the buyer at which point shards are discovered inside the case. They now have to return it to clink, and clink (cause I'm assuming they'll be exempt from these stupid rules) has to take care of it. Resulting in Clink and/or myself as the consignor not getting paid as the buyer didn't want to deal with the CGC issue - I buy a book in a collection the label reads "AMAZING SPIDEER MAN #129" it was graded 3 months ago (the original submitter didn't notice it, didn't care or passed away) CGC really wants that kind of :dung: out in the wild unless I'm willing to pay $50 + shipping to + shipping from just to fix their initial mistake - I buy a book in a collection and the book was encapsulated upside down, he thought it was a cool talking piece. I think it's a POS cause no one will want to spend $$$ on a book that is upsidedown. Yet again it's up to me to pay CGC to fix their mistake? I'll think up of more VERY real-life examples of how dumb this announcement has been. I know you are just the messenger but feel free to pass these onto Matt/Harshen etc and tell them they are just off their customers. I mean it's not like their FB post of 100+ comments haven't done the same but I doubt they are reading them ;) I would 100% support CGC in a 14 day window for a cracked EXTERIOR case (as that should only be covered to the point it's received). The rest of the issues are not something a small window should be covered in.

@CGC Mike does cgc really want label issues running wild because they are past the 14 day mark? Does cgc really want plastic shards running loose in the case cause it's past the 14 day window? Can't wait for the auction houses for a book to arrive with shards in the case Neither of these look good for the brand.

Lol Talk about passing the buck to the customer. Oh we f'd up the label and you bought it at the con on the weekend... Sorry sucks to be you we won't fix it you didn't sub it. Oh there are shards of plastic in the case that clearly the customer didn't put there. Sucks to be you. Can't wait for auction houses to have to deal with this on a regular basis. Hi heritage just got this slab but there are shards of plastic in it... Oh I have to ship it back to us cause cgc is passing the buck.
