  1. That isn't how you make an offer. Shoot them a PRIVATE message if you feel like LOWBALLING them.
  2. aircat1976 Made offers on a few of my items, I accepted some countered on others. When he got the counters he immediately said if I didn't accept all of his offers to just cancel his entire order. Waste of time buyer.
  3. my few from Baltimore Onsite have the "dimples".
  4. Screw what everyone else has said! You can do it!
  5. @FlyingDonut how do you know the Ravens will be in town? I didn't think they put out the game dates that far in advance. I'm totally pumped if they are as that will be one thing we'll be doing
  6. First thing I did when I got it in was to remove that ugly sticker
  7. Though our trip was a bit shorter than we like because we had a show to get to in Toronto. We had a blast. I didn't have many books for onsite but the ones I did I was pleased with the grades. I love going to the shows for the social aspect. It's always a blast talking with individuals who I don't get to see all the time. This was my first time doing the Bmore show and I'd definitely go back given the opportunity, a number of big dealers were there and though the super heavy hitters like an action 1 or tec 27 didn't seem to be floating on the floor there was definitely a wide variety of super golds like Bat1's to rarer less $ gold. Silver was plentiful (I was out of money very early on so I stopped looking as I didn't want to go overboard). No shortage of Bronze and copper keys either. CGC onsite pickup wasn't on the show floor which I'm not sure how I feel...meant 1 staffer was always waiting to hand out slabs (even when no one was there to pick up), whereas you didn't really have to wait in long submission lines to get your subs back. From the dozen or so people who were actively digging and buying not one of them sounded disappointed with what they'd found. I'm sad this is my last US Con for 2018 but alas this bear must hibernate for the winter.
  8. Any insight to why the date change again? I know it is hard to have a con these days that doesn't conflict with another but it now falls directly on Wizard Chicago
  9. He did...he just rocked it so hard all his stock was gone by Saturday! #truestory
  10. The weather I mean it's not apples to apples but man can they be so wrong.
  11. I guess we can do a con report: Thursday started off awesome when my helpers didn't bother to show up until after all the moving in was done. I've never seen @Guardian Comics slug so many boxes & a huge shout out to his daughter for her help as well. We had a minor incident with show managers thinking that 10 minutes before the show opened was a good time to do some booth configurations but we quickly squashed that. Doors opened and there was a feeding frenzy at the Pop booth for the exclusives (kids & adults) were RUNNING to be in line. Many of them likely haven't run in years and when they didn't get to the line quick enough they were very much disappointed, didn't take Fan Expo more than a couple mornings to lay out the rules of "no running". I don't get much time to wander at this con but there seemed to be a good variety of comics throughout the room (from Gold to Modern). TGH had his mega booth as did Harley. Ice/B's brought some big books to show off that they had on consignment, CBA had a bunch of golden age bats. Jim and I brought in major Silver/Bronze Marvel/DC keys and a whack of run books. Sales on Thursday were great and Friday even better, Saturday was soft all things considered and then we exploded on Sunday. What were the "hot" books? Byrne, Byrne, Byrne, Adams and then a bunch of the other artists. Notable sales from us include AF15, TOS39, Hulk181, ASM129, AV1. All in all we love this show, though after the 4 days we are dead tired but we always have a good time seeing everyone. We rebooked again for 2019 and hope to have another record-setting show.
  12. Glad you posted pics of the best booth in the room @Guardian Comics
  13. Will they be in their typical attire of helper elves???
