  1. So awesome! Thanks so much for sharing!
  2. Great stuff - can't wait to see more and hopefully some pages with Hulk art. What are the dimensions on these?
  3. Come visit www.JadeGiantcomicart.com if you are looking for Joe Bennett original art from the Eisner nominated Immortal Hulk comic. This story continues to heat up and is the best comic going these days, regularly out-selling Batman with each copy getting reprinted multiple times. We dropped art from 2 issues last Friday with a lot of great pages still available. Want to get updates of when new art will be dropped? 4. Any of the Hulk Hostess fruit pies ads, especially one by Sal Buscema. I narrowly missed on an eBay auction years ago - been looking for 10 plus years
  5. Ron said he remembers it and it was printed somewhere, but he can't recall exactly where
  6. North Face bag with shoulder strap. Holds multiple 13x19 portfolios and my sketchbook with plenty of room to throw in something else if needed. Only downside is my shoulder can get tired if it is packed with a lot of art. I find Jim Lee's solution interesting but would need to hold larger than 11x17 (I don't know that it doesn't). I have been thinking of investigating a backpack type solution and will be on the lookout for anyone using one of these as I would like to see it in person. I think Jim's name attached prices this higher than it needs to be so I imagine a more generic solution with the same bells and whistles will come along if this does well.
  7. If subtle, I don't mind this at all and it gives some insight to the creative process, where a change may have been made, etc.
  8. You can buy pads of paper as well at varying sized - don't get anything less than 100 lb
  9. not familiar with comic board at that size. 11x17 is the size used for a long time and is the standard size used today.
  10. as did I ... I have always had the collecting bug, even as a child. If I acquired 2 or 3 of something that piqued my interest, there was a good chance I was going to start hunting for as many as I could find. I think the oddest things I ended up bringing home was abandoned bird nests. Had a row of them on a shelf in my room until my parents saw a bug crawling out of one and they were banished to the back yard. Even tolerant parents have their limits I suppose
  11. I don't have numbers but I know my collection skewed heavily toward unpublished in the first phase or two of the hobby and is now on the opposite ratio. It may be in the 50/50 range, maybe +/- 10%
  12. Congrats - I love a good story like this when the right art finds the right home.
  13. and super hi res so we can blow up a wide shot to see individual pieces

  15. Beavis and Butthead, meet Sal Buscema and the Hulk, circa 1994 https://www.comicartfans.com/gallery...?piece=1538696
  16. Thanks, I agree! Joe's love of horror movies comes through in a lot of the art in this series.
  17. Horror has a new face and it is being drawn masterfully by Joe Bennett in the pages of the Immortal Hulk. Marvel has decided to feature Joe’s gruesomely beautiful artwork as a double page wraparound cover as a variant cover for issue 16. The pages from this issue, including the cover, will be coming to the JadeGiant Comic Art website so stay tuned for announcements and more details. 18. Agreed on both points. A 20 minute clock will drag out the auctions unnecessarily in most cases IMO. Maybe watch the auctions to see how much of the 20 minute clock is actually being used and adjust from there.
  19. I remember thinking I was going to frame everything with the art and comic page together when I first considered framing. After seeing a few done up, I was less than thrilled with the look. I do think the frame up can take focus from the art and the excessive matting around the comic page can come off awkward (to my eye at least). I have seen a few done up nice and a couple really nice one where the comic cover was also included. Add all of the above with the cost, I decided not to go this route.
  20. A favorite story arc personally. Looking for more pages. Love that last panel - Logan knows he has his work cut out for him. https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1533797
