  1. I don't have many of these but here's the one I won tonight.
  2. Very nice, I wanted all of those Rocky Mountain Wonder Woman books but figured I'd try focusing on the 200. I went after a 9.6 wp copy on clink a few months ago and was the underbidder at like 775 or something ridiculous like that. I'm pleased to have won a pedigreed copy for a reasonable rate.
  3. Very nice! I thought about going after that copy but thought it would go for a bit more than I wanted to pay. After the auction, I thought you got it went for a cheaper price than I expected. I'll have to be happy with the rocky mountain copy I won. Still waiting on it from clink though.
  4. That's a nice set of books and all difficult to come by at a decent price. I've only been able to score about five issues including WW199 in 9.4, WW200 (rocky mountain copy), HoM210, and PS26 (don rosa copy) in 9.6 and and DMofFL 4 (pacific coast copy) in 9.8 from your set so far. Three of those are pretty high on my list including the Phantom Stranger 10, the DMofFL 3 and the House of Secrets 94. Good job on picking all of those up for a good price I'd imagine.
  5. That's sweet! I'm not into DC at all but if I'd have seen that, I'd have bought it in a second! Not only a Pedigree but my birthday is 5-6-72 so that label is freaking awesome!!! Trust me, I'm not a big Wonder Woman fan but the Jeff Jones covers on 199 and 200 are phenomenal. I'm glad I was able to pick it up before someone else decided they wanted it as much as I did.
  6. First book I've picked up in a couple of months. I'm happy to get this one off my acquisition list.
  7. You know, I haven't seen the sale pop up in GPA yet. Normally, it seems like the updates are pretty quick coming from eBay transactions. Did he take the sale offline?
  8. I would have taken this copy over my 9.2 with white pages that I paid almost as much for 6 months ago. Looks like price fluctuates based on availability. I will certainly keep this in mind for future purchases.
  9. Not I. I thought pretty hard about it but ultimately decided against purchasing it. Did it go for full price?
  10. congrats man that book looks great, very jealous of your avengers collection Aside from the movie, I'm not a big Avengers fan but that is a lovely book! Congrats!
  11. This one, IMHO, is so archtypal of the 60s and has got to be my favorite of the bunch. That's certainly a sweet set of books that you don't see every day.
  12. Yea, I think I've taken my hits this year and I'm going to take a breather from bronze bats purchases until next year.
  13. Not a big sig fan, but this one book could change my mind, it's a beaut. I'm not a huge sig fan either but that's a sweet batch of Wrightson books, none of which I've acquired yet.
  14. Stop, if you keep showing those nice covers you're going to get me into collecting bronze romance books. That Haunted Love is certainly a beauty.
  15. I'd go with B as well, the colors look very nice. Plus that top staple on A kind of bugs me; to me, it makes it look as if it is stapled on the cover image itself. Of course, I wouldn't kick either copy out of the house....
  16. This might still be legal in West Virginia.
  17. I have to say that while normally I'm only really interested in this genre where it intersects with bronze horror this category has some nice covers. Maybe a few too many chicks shedding tears for my taste but the colors are beautiful Here's my second book for this category.
  18. Very nice! I love those Secret and Forbidden Love books that went horror after I guess they tanked trying to sell the gothic romance angle.
  19. I'm thinking you need to stay away It's tempting and I've paid ridiculous prices before. If the seller would have met me half way I would definitely have picked it up. Hopefully, someone will buy it and an undercopy will come to market.
  20. Dang you! I saw that one and would've liked the upgrade. QP could be better though Nice snag and I agree price was very good. Can't argue with WHITE pages...those surrounding issues are scarcer than hen's teeth with that PQ. 750 points on the HoM ladder, this one was a no brainer for me. There's another 9.6 copy on WWComics that I've been looking at but they want $500 for it and its off white. This one was perfect and the premium was in my range.
  21. Yea, the seller had some nice prices on his non-unique stuff. Just the prices on the stuff I wanted (HoS96 and HoM221) was a little high for me.
  22. Yea same here, I love HoS96 but I don't love it that much... But since I didn't go after that one I did score this one for kind of a bargain IMO.
  23. As I told walls in pm, he had absolutely NOTHING to worry about with Peter ( silver surfer) because he's as stand up a guy as you will ever meet. Owning up and apologizing here when he wasn't even named should just proves how stand up he is even more for any of you that don't know him and know that already (thumbs u Most people would have not just said a word and left it at walls saying it was resolved. Outing himself and apologizing publicly is more than the most people I know on here would do. You won't find anyone on here as willing to go out of his way to help someone. I've bought from him many times and have never had a problem. This little snafu with walls aside, I would never hesitate to buy from him Or recommend him to someone looking to buy. Anyone who's been here awhile already knows this. Oh and as far as the taking a week to find the book, if you saw surfers collection dano, you'd be surprised it didn't take him a month to find it! He has more insane Pedigrees than 95% of us have books. Just looking thru those would take a good 2-3 weeks ASM252 9.8 Twin Cities came in to day and it is fantastic. Again, part of the problem may have been me, I certainly suffer from buyer apprehension.... However, I reserve the right to "chirp" up, especially when I need a hug or some hand holding on a transaction.
  24. I was meaning to ask what folks thought about this sale. $800 seems excessive for a HoS96 9.8 w/white pages to me. What do you guys think? I offered $500 for it and the seller didn't even counter.... HoS96
  25. That's a nice set and has fantastic, inherent historical value but without the cover and Irv Novick's art... bleh It is funny, for me, on some of these once you see the inside of the book the desire to own it goes down a bit. I love Jeff Jones and was an underbidder at just under $800 for the recent ww 200 9.6 that sold on clink back in March I think. Recently both ww 199 and 200 showed up on comixology so I downloaded and read the issues. Now that I've read the story and seen the art, I'm not sure that I'm in the market for a WW200 anymore. Remember, in the age of CGC all that matters is the cover, not the content. My thoughts on this subject are "evolving".
