This one is from a pinup in the back of The Crow TPB Another Spidey vs. Venom This ones pretty rough IMO. This was the first thing i drew in my art class after not drawing anything for a couple years. I was pretty impressed at the time because i didnt think i could still draw. It looks like chicken scratch to me now. Nightcrawler i drew in about 30 min. I wish i couldve put more detail in it but we only had 30 min to draw in class. The next two i drew when i was in 5th and 6th grade. The dates are signed wrong because i didnt have anything to turn in for homework in my class that week so i just went through some old stuff, signed my name and threw the date on there. Fastest homework i ever did. This one actually got me in trouble in 5th grade because my teacher was a bible thumpin lunatic and he told me "I will not have this demonic trash being drawn in my holy classroom."

Wow, theres some pretty impressive stuff on here guys. Great work. It makes me want to get out the pens and pencils and keep on practicing. Here's some pics of my artwork. Most of these are older (from high school art class), since i havnt been drawing that much lately and what i do draw nowadays usually ends up with someone else. Some of it may seem amatuerish compared to other stuff on here, but i hope you guys enjoy it. This is a pinup from a comic called Gore Shriek (I Think), it's unfinished, like most of my work. More batmans and TECs i picked up yesterday. Sorry im posting so many but these things have been falling into my lap lately. I found these at a local antique store for dirt cheap. The most expensive one was $6

I saw this ad in a batman issue i was reading and thought it was pretty cool. Thought id share it even though everyones probably seen it already.

I think i can honestly say i made out like a bandit today. Went down to old town today with the girlfriend to look through the many antique shops they have there. Im usually on the hunt for comics but all of these shops rarely get in new comics and what they do have has been there for goin on 5 years, has all been picked through many times over, and is trashed to hell. I got lucky in one shop cuz the lady who had these said she brought them in this morning so i got first pick through them and at dirt cheap prices, and she gave me 20% off of the total so i paid about $65 for this whole lot.

More batmans i picked up yesterday. My LCS has been getting these in left and right. First silver age penguin for $5 because of a coupon cut on the letters page? YES PLEASE!!! (Best 5 bucks ive spent in a while.) Ive been hunting for this detective for awhile now, and the shop got two of them in for me to choose from so i was pretty excited about this one too.

picked these up at the LCS yesterday. And i found these beauties in a collectible store in a mall by my house. Theyre not even read.

I got these 10 in the mail on monday thanks to some fellow boarders. Nice U.F.O. cover. My favorite out of this series so far. And i found this one at a LCS.

That is another good one. I think i may have read that story in an annual. if its the one im thinking about, batman has to make a deal with some mobsters to not set foot in gotham for 24 hours so they create a flying batcave. they never said anything about who flys it when theyre kicking faces in. heres another cool cover. i picked this one up on sat. again, this isnt my copy, just a pic off google

I've always loved that cover! It's another Detective I need to pick up for my collection. (thumbs u I know, same here. and its a pretty good and interesting story. and ive been looking for it for awhile now. there was even a couple on the for sale thread at decent prices that i missed so i was pretty excited when i saw it. i snatched it up not even knowing the price. he only charged me $40 for it. frozentundra- ive got the negative batman on the way to my house. i love the "psychadelic" detective covers. This isnt my copy but thought id share it so people can see how cool it is.

Dave is awesome to deal wwith. I only bought one comic off of him for $6 but the packaging it came in looked like there should have been a couple hundred dollar book in it. Very nice and thorough packaging and fast service. Highly reccomended.

just got a package in the mail today from ed and the comics are wonderful. condition was better than i was expecting, well packaged and shipped out fast. And GREAT PRICES!!!! Thanks Ed!!

This isnt really a room but this is a display i made today for when i go to shows. total was $22 and 2 hours to make it (including glue dry time). not to shabby if i say so myself. There will be one more row on the bottom when its on the stand. i couldnt put the last row in because the ground was in the way. STUPID EARTH! And yes these books will be for sale on the sales thread after i take em to a couple shows.

There was also a Revealing Confessions and a Revealing Love Stories magazine published in the 1940's. Is there anything of note in the magazine? Not sure yet. I havnt really had the time to look through it yet. ill look through and post some pics if there is.

I agree. Doesnt get any better than getting a new copy of a golden or atom age detective.
