  1. Heres some more bats i've picked up in the past couple weeks. The LCS shop got more mid 50's-mid 60's Tec's in so expect to see more from me. The only one i've picked up from that collection so far is the Tec #320. The rest came from another LCS and an antique store.
  2. Very very cool. Doesn't it look like they drew the logo and words with a sharpie? Foolkiller: Very impressive, as usual. That GL40 is a beaut.
  3. That is amazing. I don't think I've ever seen frazetta do a war piece before. I'm sure theyre out there but I've never seen one before.
  4. I just posted these in general but thought they should be on here as well.
  5. great haul for the price! Congrats +1 Very nice haul and very nice price. I snagged these the other day after work.
  6. Hows it feel to hold a Batman 1 in your hands? And how about that 50s collection? You ever get done reading the whole thing? (And I just bumped it. Now Bryan HAS to come back to post more pics.)
  7. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wasn't that slabbed? Did you guys crack it?
  8. (Thumbs u Beautiful books mark. I'm lovin that phantom stranger.
  9. Now that's a beautiful book. Yours as well mark, but you knew that already.
  10. Here's my copy of tec 308. Its kind of a bad pic. I'm using my gfs tablet and the camera on here isn't the best. And I had this sitting near by so i thought I'd share it also. I found this cover in an antique shop in town. No comic though, just the cover. They just gave it to me cuz I was buying a couple other comics. I put it in the binder that I keep all my online comic transaction records in.
  11. Yup, that a large shipment if i ever seen one. Nice 9.8's (thumbs u I was thinkin to myself "gee, these marvel covers sure are goin for the tron look arnt they?" And then i saw the "TRON" variant note. Very cool collection.
  12. Yup, it was in the new overstreet. Page 1038. I remembered what it said wrongly. It says, "All CGC employees are prohibited from commercially buying and selling comic books to ensure they remain completely impartial, having no vested interest other than a dedication to serving clients through accurate and consistent grading." So i guess pretty much it just says you cant be a vendor, store owner, etc. I guess they don't want their own employees submitting books to grade themselves and grade it a grade or two higher just to make more money. I couldnt imagine a grading company being that dishonest and grading their own books higher for monetary gain. Oh wait...
  13. That's simply not true - Steve Borock has been documented saying (while he was still there) that CGC staff are mainly fanboys who love the hobby themselves. Ask Timely if he was not allowed to collect comics. Well, thats good to hear. Maybe i can still chase that dream. I think it was in the new overstreet that i read an article about CGC and how it grades their comics and it said that the graders couldnt have anything to do with comics outside of their work place. When i read that it pissed me off a lil to think that an employer can tell you you cant do something you love. Thanks for clearing that up. (thumbs u
  14. It would be pretty cool to be a CGC grader to make your living, but in order to be one, you cant have any affiliations with anything comic book related outside of the work place (No reading or collecting comics). I guess they want people to have absolutely no interest in comics so the grades can be more accurately and professionally graded and not favor a book because of what it is and give it a higher grade. I guess they treat it the same as the court of law treats finding a jury for a case. They dont want any conflict of interest. Has anyone else heard of this?
  15. Nice ASM haul you got there. There's nothing like a new stack of spideys.
  16. I got a few group shots to share with you guys. The pics are a little rough. It was hard to find a good setting on my p.o.s. camera and the right lighting to light the comics enough but not with a glare. First up is My detective run so far.
  17. I've posted this in the comics general section before but i didnt know there was a strange adventures thread so i have to post it here too. My girlfriend bought me this one a couple weeks back.
  18. Awesome. Thanks for the info. I'm sure I could've found it on Google myself but I'd rather interact with people on here. Those art deco backgrounds do look cool. And thanks for the picture.
