Boiler room mentality, similar to the frantic activity here a few years ago at the time of comics such as The Sixth Gun, over in the Moderns section. Which itself didn’t go too well in the end.

I gave Larry Fink a call. He’s been following the thread in CG and said making this right is his #1 priority.

There are quite a few, most of us won’t drop any advice unless we can bill someone for the time though. 

Agreed, they do draw the youngsters.  I think they may actually be preserving the hobby for the next generation and that is equally terrifying to me for some reason.

There have been a few examples of similar things in the past but nothing exactally on point that I can find.  Publishes (edit - retailers) have added covers and flair after printing like the Miracleman books (blue label) and Retailers have added covers like the J company covers (green label).  But here we have a retailer adding a cover purported to have been created by the original cover artist to a store exclusive that has presumably not gone into circulation.  

I'm still pissed and annoyed of the disrespect of the folded Flag...NO Red or White should be showing. RIP Dad.

Think how much more successful you would have been if you had stapled acetate covers to your unsold stock 40 years ago!
