  1. One sixth scale Bruce Lee in his iconic yellow track suit from Game of Death manufactured by China X-H. I found the likeness to be superior to more expensive action figures. The arms and legs are attached to the body with magnets.
  2. Not mine, but another Bonfils Vietnam sleaze book. I censored the naughty bits.
  3. Back in 1967, I didn’t have $25. Hourly wage was $1.40 per hour.☹️
  4. Ace Double featuring Junkie by William Lee and Narcotic Agent by Maurice Helbrant. Ace Double Books D-15. Near Mint condition Paperback. $2,500. Near Mint.😂
  5. Here is my copy bought at NYCC. I was going through the boxes of a dealer off on the side. I told him that the cover was drawn by Matt Baker. The dealer replied “Who is Matt Baker?” 🤢
  6. From 2019 Heritage auction. Quite fragile, so people tended to bind them. Good luck in your search.
  7. Reminds me of over four decades ago, when I shared an office with a hippie from UC Davis and a mechanical engineer from Berkeley. They now call it “quiet quitting”, but we old timers call it “goofing off.” We had the boss from hell, so when the boss wasn’t interrogating or screaming at us, we read underground comix on the sly. I had a large stash of undergrounds, since I regularly bought from old hippie, Gary Arlington. The mechanical engineer loved issue 4, where they taught you to “grow your own.”😂
  8. I did purchase one of the copies from Harley. I am looking for super high grade, and there are not many.
  9. A pair of sleaze covers by Bonfils. At his peak, Bonfils produced fifty covers a month. Book on the left was found on the Kayo Books Instagram account. I called up Maria and the book was mine. I love the covers and Bonfils ability to capture dynamic movement. At one time, I owned an original Vargas Girl published in Playboy. Female friends thought I was a sleazy guy. I told them if it costs less than $5, then it’s porn, anything over $5 is art. Had to sell the Vargas at 200% profit to landscape my house.
  10. A dealer offered to get me into 2023 SDCC for free and I could crash in his hotel room. I didn’t take him up on his generous offer. I have gone on vacation with this super dealer. Good social skills will get you far in life. Last year, the legendary Harley Yee called me up from his SDCC booth to find out whether I still wanted a copy of a GA book. I told him that I had thirteen copies. He didn’t have to do that, but Harley goes the extra mile for his customers. I joined the boards after I retired and made many new friends. Some of them are looking to grab a grail, but nothing is for sale. Doesn’t hurt to try.
  11. While the car was in for routine maintenance, I was able to browse the delightful bookcases of Kayo Books. Maria Mendoza and Ron Blum are the charming owners. Will relocate down the block by the end of the year.

  13. The Spider fights against the Bat-Man, who has many gadgets. Pretty funny and lurid stuff, considering the DC character came out later. I enjoy the Spider pulps for the ludicrous weird plots and Richard Wentworth being badly hurt, sometimes blind or with broken arms and legs, but still able to save New York City. I am a forum member with highly questionable taste. My good friend told me the only taste I have is in my mouth, and even that’s bad.
  14. Wonderful show as usual! Beautiful tribute to the late Ray Storch.
  15. Great McGinnis cover. What really caught my eye was not the exquisite female form, but the Kriss blade knife. Here are a few of mine.
  16. Matt Baker’s version and my cheap missing back cover copy. The late Vera Lynn’s Lili Marlene lyrics Underneath the lantern By the barrack gate Darling I remember The way you used to wait 'Twas there that you whispered tenderly That you loved me You'd always be My Lili of the lamplight My own Lili Marlene
  17. These are the $990 double occupancy suites. There are some $4k plus accommodations. Have to ensure your passport is up to date, since the cruise ends in Mexico.
  18. Comic Con Cruise Feb 5-9, 2025 https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/cruises/2023/07/22/comic-con-cruise-2025-sailing/70445821007/
  19. I have never seen this amazing Yellow Peril cover. I have read the Fu Manchu clones, the Mysterious Wu Fang and Dr. Yen Sin. Sax Rohmer sued them out of business. In the truly horrible 1961 Hammer film, “Terror of the Tongs”, starring Christopher Lee as the villain, there is a scene where after a wild night of debauchery, including an orgy and drugs, a hatchet man is sent to kill an envoy, who has incriminating evidence against the tongs. As the victim disembarks, the assassin shouts in Cantonese, “F’ You!” Even though I was born in the United States, my first language is Cantonese, dialect of the ghetto Chinese from Hong Kong and Southern China. As my college room mate would tell me, many men smoke, but Fu Manchu. 😫
  20. Not a Hot Wheel, but a custom built Greenlight CHP Polar Bear Slicktop (white without light bar) with working lights. Very impressive build in 1/64. Somebody else built this.
  21. Comes out during SDCC week. Just picked up my copy. Have every OPSG starting with number 1. Had to have the Avengers 3 hard cover. Bought my well loved Avengers 3 for a nickel in the sixties. Comics are not just a passing fad with me. Bought OSPG number 3 from Gary Arlington. While a college student, found OSPG number 2 at a used book store almost fifty years ago. Had to pay for OSPG number 1. ☹️
  22. I was working on my GA Joker cover collection and won this for a whopping $135.
