Comics, Pulps, and Paperbacks: Why such a discrepancy in values?
BitterOldMan replied to Reno McCoy's topic in Pulp Magazines
In my quest for bigger and better sleaze…. Note the covered cleavage and gloves on retouched cover on the left. Luckily, found the book on the left at my go to place Kayo Books in San Francisco’s Tenderloin. Kayo Books is moving down the street, only about one block on the other side of the street. -

Finally found the classic Bill Griffith one pager. Over 40 years ago, when I was a corporate peon, we used to goof off and read underground comix at work. I can see many forum members in the classic A R position.

Looking for something really out there...

The original Marvel black light posters are fairly expensive. They were reprinted recently in two collectible volumes. Captain America appears in both sets. Looks great under black light. -

Phillip Mendoza painted the cover. You have a good eye.👍 -
At 2019 SDCC, I was staying at the Embassy Suites, which provides a free all you can eat breakfast. Figuring that I would beat the crowd by eating at 6:15 AM, I grab my tray, but the hardest working comic dealer, Harley Yee, already finished his breakfast. In fact, the waitresses all knew him. Harley was already getting ready to go to the exhibition hall, but chatted with me for a short while.

I saw my friend in early June. He asked me whether I wanted to attend 2023 SDCC. He could get me in early and free, plus I could crash in his hotel room. I replied “No thanks!” At one stretch, I attended 25 years in a roll. “It’s too crowded, nobody goes there anymore.” Last attended in 2019, and got in early with a vendor pass. Saw @greggy buying all the good stuff before preview night.😂 In case your parents didn’t teach you, “It’s who you know!”

Felix the Cat stories drawn by the greatly under appreciated Otto Messmer have amazing artwork. Even though Pat Sullivan’s name is listed, Otto slaved away in obscurity. Here are some pages from Four Color 135.

You can use your phone, highlight the text and translate to English or other languages. This feature has been around a really long time.

I am shooting a Barrett 50 Caliber sniper rifle with backwards baseball cap. Wearing a cap the regular way would damage the scope cover.

$900, not including sales tax and shipping. Should run slightly over $1k.
