  1. Value Fast Track Received: 4/22/13 Shipped/Safe: 6/6/13 Disappointment but not complete shock upon learning grades: 6/6/13
  2. I opened a FedEx account and have CGC ship back via FedEx Ground. (I use my own insurance policy for insurance.) It's a huge savings over registered mail.
  3. Very sweet books! It's mind-boggling that you paid less than $3 each.
  4. This thread has been getting a little dusty. So some new arrivals before they get sent down to Sarasota. The 33 and 34 have both been white whales for me. I have some faith in the the 34. But I think the 33 will continue to haunt and tease me.
  5. Killer books, Hepcat! It's cool to see how Kane's work evolved over the years. Or at least how his work was affected by different inkers and house styles.
  6. Not at all! This is a very peaceful thread. And frankly, it could use a little boost of energy.
  7. Do you have any idea who inked that one? It's undeniably Kane, but the best of it gets lost under those inks. Tony DeZuniga. He had the same effect on many covers and interiors, unfortunately. "Sweet Sister!" I love the Bronze Age! Me too! And we have nostrils! I do love Kane, but when I see what should be a two-dimensional image, like a poster, I always wonder why it isn't drawn as it would appear. It's drawn as if we're seeing the figure from slightly below and in 3/4 view, even though it's doubtful a real billboard would have been designed that way. Maybe it would just look too weird otherwise. Still, a cool idea to have the billboard look as if it's blowing smoke rings around Power Man. Between the nostrils and the hands/fingers, Kane didn't really need to sign his work.
  8. I had a Gil Kane-A-Palooza with a new box back from CGC today:
  9. I think it's a new category. Or at least it's a new name for an old category. Maybe it's a new, more precise description of "Graded"? It seems to serve the same purpose. I just saw it for the first time online in the past month.
  10. Greg is a great buyer and seller. I bought some spectacular books from Greggy recently. And I sold him some less-than-spectacualr books too. Happiness all around.
  11. Some new buys, some just back from CGC:
  12. That's the furthest thing from cheating. Kane's own pencil actually touched that!
  13. Killer books, David. I rarely see those Ringo Kids for sale.
  14. Thanks, George! You've been a tremendous source for some of the tougher books like Millie the Model and the reprint books. Without your help (and Greggy's), I'd be much further from completing the run. By the way, I now have 373 out of the 388 PF books (with a handful I'd like to upgrade). I think it'll still be many years before I complete the run.
  15. Thanks to Greggy, I finally have some good reasons to give this thread a bump.
  16. Claudio is a very solid citizen. Pays quickly and is a super-nice guy. Thanks!
