  1. That's another killer run of books, Bob. The colors are amazing.
  2. That #168 looks like a killer book. Congratulations on completing the set.
  3. 16 out of 388 to have the entire run in CGC 9.0 or better. A truly amazing job Barton. I'm glad its nearing the end for you. Thanks, George. You've been a huge help with some of the more hard-to-find books. I think the end is probably still a number of years away. As you know, there are some books like Millie the Model, Li'l Kids, and My Love that rarely, if ever, turn up in high grade. Someday, I'll probably be on my death bed lamenting the Millie the Model #195 in 9.0+ that eluded my grasp for 30 years.
  4. 16 out of 388 to have the entire run in CGC 9.0 or better.
  5. Action #1, AF #15? Feh, who cares? I finally found a semi-respectable copy of My Love #16.
  6. Thanks, Bob. I've been seeing that Oakland copy on eBay for months. And I've made the seller what I thought was a very generous offer. He countered with his outrageous price less $50. I'm glad I resisted fueling that guy's insanity. I can buy a lot of books with the money I saved.
  7. It's been slow going in Picture Frame land for me lately. But I had a nice new arrival today. I have a 9.2, a 9.4, and now this. I don't feel the need to upgrade anymore. Of all the non-reprint superhero PFs, this book and Astonishing Tales #12 have been the hardest for me to find in 9.6.
  8. They're almost all reprints, I believe. I've only noticed one exception. Kid Colt Outlaw #201 has a new story. But it wasn't drawn by Kane. Had I bought that book off the stands, I know I would have been disappointed when I got back home from the 7-11.
  9. Thanks, David. I've rarely seen any of these issues of Western Gunfighters for sale in decent shape. I had to buy a huge lot from Heritage to get these. It definitely wasn't very cost effective. But what the heck. It's interesting to see Kane do his own inks. He had kind of a Terry Austin quality with his finishes. (Al Milgrom inked the #27 but he did a decent job, fortunately.)
  10. Nice books. It's interesting how Romita's inks usually are more dominant on Kane's pencils than most other inkers.
  11. Nope. I tried but dropped out of the bidding when it went over $400. I might have gone higher, but too many of my Savannah subs have been coming back with c-ow pages. But I did get the Western Gunfighters lot. I still need a decent #8 and it had a bunch of Gil Kane covers that I rarely see for sale.
  12. I bought a 14 book group of Our Love Stories in the hope of checking some off my want list. Percentage-wise, I didn't do very well. Especially since I already had a 14 with c-ow pages. But I guess progress is progress.
  13. Can't you post some significant books, Stronguy? I'm kidding. Awesome books.
  14. I don't think I've ever posted this here before...
