  1. Yup, I've been noticing it lately on a quite a few war era and post war error books when the books were sized to conserve paper. (I've been scanning my collection)
  2. I would not recommend eBay for the sale. I would recommend listing them directly on Comiclink, Comic Connect, or MCS in the for sale area. They will charge you the same amount that eBay would and you are responsible for shipping it to them once it sells. Unlike eBay though they will guarantee the sale once they have verified the book. So even if the buyer gets the book and pulls a, "I don't feel this is a strong enough 9.2 and it's really a 9.0 I want a refund". Comiclink, Comic Connect and MCS will pay you, and then tell the buyer to pound sand or take it back and list in in their own auctions. So long as you uphold your end of the bargain they will make you whole. Those auction houses act as a third party verifier while eBay does not. It is also why as a buyer, I tend to buy strictly from the auction houses because they verify what that the seller is actually providing what I am paying for. eBay does not do that. If you want to roll the dice at an auction, then why not go for an auction house that resets the time on every new bid like Heritage or Comic Connect.
  3. It's just the static cling effect of two pieces of plastic touching one another. It's fine.
  4. That the CGC boards should get cards made up? Imagine a set of cards? Imagine the subset of those cards? Imagine a HOS subset? Imagine a gold holofoil Greggy chase card !
  5. Fare thee well Leonardo 1... Hopefully you make it to the Eastman signing in time... I only knew you for an hour. So this arrived this afternoon and shipped out immediately to Florida. A certain someone is a bad influence on me and I have decided to get the first Turtles book I ever bought, (which was in the last CLink auction) signed and remarqued. As requested for the remarque, "Leonardo, on the back, in the black please, Thanks". So... let's see how it turns out. There is a nice space for some serious drawing opportunity... IF it gets down there in time. As of 5:20 is shipped off Long Island for it hopefully 'less than five day journey to Sarasota." UPDATE: Woohoo !
  6. Oh, you might be thinking what I am thinking ? A certain someone that is 'missing' ?
  7. There is something very familiar about you. I think I know what it is. I hope I am wrong. But, I am not 'there' yet.
  8. There are too many sales even in the three figure range to assume that they are all 'bogus' sales. Someone is opening the wallet for these.
  9. OMG Now I want one of these made up for real and graded by CGC @dena Where's the manager !?!?!
  10. What it sounds like (t0 me) is that there were two lead graders in the room handling different batches and the grades were consistent with a +/- .5 subjective rating.
  11. Hours (Monday to Friday): 9:00am to 5:00pm EST 1-877-NM-COMIC (1 877 662 6642) toll free
  12. One user here just sold a complete set missing two holograms and containing two slightly damaged cards for $625 on eBay. Take the money and run... They will probably go up a little bit more but then turn into someone's New Mutants 98 in a 9.9.
  13. I agree. You would think that we were talking about a pair of AF15's being graded or something.
  14. Supposedly it was her Beep Boop Bop comment that set the wheels in motion with Disney that if she continued to make mention of anything else that could be construed as disparaging, she would face consequences.
  15. I will send you a pack of pokemon cards if you change and KEEP the title of this thread to, "The Wheels Are in Motion II: Pokemon Edition." Then start the thread off with. "Do you know, as SICK as it sounds, they REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY are." @jsilverjanet Thanks for the tag!
  16. Not surprised. She was supposedly told to watch herself with her presence on social media but believed herself to be above it or believes that she has 'rights'. Indeed, the beauty of this nation is that everyone can be as stoooopid as they please. However, it does not mean that your boss in the private sector has to tolerate it or allow you to continue to represent them. A couple around here will criticize it and say it's not fair... but yet... here you are and there they are and she is no longer going to be receiving Disney money.
  17. I agree with everything you say here. I have further concerns though about the mentality of the participants that are spending $3000+ on this card.
  18. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1990-MARVEL-UNIVERSE-134-INCREDIBLE-HULK-LOW-POP-PSA-10-N2994867-531/264940694368?hash=item3dafb22b60%3Ag%3AhfgAAOSwvdJfso-P&LH_BIN=1 Another PSA 10 sold for $70 in mid November which just happens to be from the same submission. So do you see my hesitation about the overall sustainability of a market when a card goes from $70 to $3300 in 3 months?
  19. But now here is the thing with this. This is when I say, perhaps it is time to think about selling certain things and buying them back later. Yesterday I texted this image to another board member that I should wait a year and at the rate these cards are increasing in value, I should trade these three straight up for another Jordan rookie. Is a PSA 10 comic card of a picture depicting Hulk 181 worth more than the actual comic book or a Jeter SP rookie card ? This is when I think the market is trying to reach a level that it cannot sustain. Congrats to the sellers... I mean if I still had full sets and multiples of those cards I would sell, sell, sell, and laugh as some fool gave me his money.
