  1. Some of the older triple digit number Lego sets from the late 70's and early 80's had those rubber tires as did the early technic of the time. They have a 'different' feel but they seem to be holding up as they were very solid in nature. The rubber lego tires from the late 60's and early 70's have hardened and broken down. Those were gray and I have noticed that those early sets from the 1960's demonstrate a crumbling type of disintegration where they break apart in chunks.
  2. Considering that full sets could have been purchased for less than $100 back in November, sales like this are concerning.
  3. The publisher. Everyone else was work for hire. Oh yeah... and, “Joe”
  4. I was going to say Rogue Squadron was an example. That was probably leaked by someone. When I went to look I noticed that all the stuff you would instantly think of sold out almost a day to a week before on the sites I look at. I went with Star Wars 5 (1st Wedge) and picked those up in bulk before people caught on.
  5. If you check the timeline of books sold on eBay you will notice that there is quite a strong buying of certain books leading up to a public announcement. Certain books that were stagnant started to sell, all of a sudden, a few days before a massive announcement (like the Disney drop). There will be a frenzy afterward to pick up remaining copies but I noticed this with a couple of things.
  6. I am thinking of contacting Rally Road and seeing if we can offer 1,000 shares of this little disc of dirt for $150 each.
  7. Want a fun game? Send a message to your friends and ask them, "How do you see me meet my demise?" Sorry to break it to you Nick, something like this option has already been picked in the "How does Andrew die?" pool.
  8. In the meantime I picked up another page of Marvel Indy art. That makes it two pages from Raiders, 'the boulder page' and the 'Well of Souls Page" along with four pages from the Further Adventures...with three of them being the last page from three books. You can check all six of them out here. No, they are not for sale. In fact one is actually framed and hanging up in the living room. https://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=163672
  9. Speaking of movies that are stuck in development hell..., Various sites are claiming to have bits and pieces of the plot. If you combine them together they make sense on a scale. Some sites are reporting that Ford is Jones but Pratt will ALSO be Indy which will lead to Disney + series and a cartoon. Some sites are reporting that the movie will focus on the Fountain of Youth and that Ford will be de-aged. Some sites are reporting that Karen Allen is back in it and it will center around the Bermuda Triangle. Put it together and you have Ford enjoying married life in his older age with Karen Allen as Marion when he is called to the Bermuda Triangle to find the Fountain of Youth, (which I personally thought was in Florida but hey, things change). Upon finding the Fountain of Youth he is deaged or transformed into Chris Pratt which allows us to have more adventures on Disney+.
  10. Since I posted the Indiana Jones announcement and have a penchant for starting threads with movies that go nowhere, let's hopefully keep that rally going... Apparently this has been in the works for ten years. https://variety.com/2021/film/news/wonderful-wizard-of-oz-remake-1234904194/
  11. After a year... I figured I should have answered this question... I went with the Black Charger.
  12. Regardless of how anyone feels about these films, how they MAKE these films are just mesmerizing.
  13. Well that's the issue... all of these Disney series seem to be committed to eight episode seasons. The Mandalorian Season 2 is a great example of having a couple of episodes which could have been trimmed and shortened to seven rather than eight episodes. The spider cave episode immediately comes to mind. I agree with you on a lot of that but I think it has to do with poor editing. Episode 4 should have been told side by side with a differently cut Episode 1. That's why I originally said it was the "LOST" episode I was waiting for. Remember when LOST would show us something that was going on in one episode and then within two weeks it would basically repeat elements of the story but from someone else's perspective? Wandavision only has eight episodes to work with and I think they struck out with the editing. What would I have done? Episode 1, Filmed Before A Live Studio Audience / Episode 2 Don't Touch that Dial 45 minutes (Instead of 30 minutes) Episode 4, We Interrupt This Program, 35 Minutes Episode 3, Now In Color, 33 minutes Episode 5, On A Very Special Episode, 42 minutes Episode Four should have been shown alongside episode 1 in some capacity to show the two perspectives as to what is going on.
  14. Ha - I disagree... because I have no idea what any of you are talking about when you say to look at the Tiger references or Aunt Agatha or what any of those easter eggs represent or allude to. I never followed the Avengers, nor Wanda or Vision until they were introduced into the MCU... All I ever thought was that Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were Magneto's children and then after that it was a shrug and a, "Let's get back to Spider-man." I have not felt I have missed anything since they have not been relevant to the plot of what is going on. It also seems that I have had a similar experience as others have in that the show is 'so-so' until episode four when it really picks up as to what is going on. Now if the Tiger images were being referred to I would probable wonder if I was missing out on something, but that stuff went right over my head because I did not realize that they were things to focus on in the background to begin with.
  15. I declined their offer of $125. They did not make an offer for $200.
  16. Arch did say one mention, but I thought it was to be made in the thread itself. So if I was on the probation list you would be able to make mention of it in my sales thread but any subsequent posts would be considered trolling.
  17. As far as Greg? That's not special treatment at all. How would Austin or Greg know what is going on? As far as announcing it in a thread? Arch had made it clear during the a certain member's incident that it was permissible to announce in a seller's thread or if a buyer appears to claim something that announcing that the seller or buyer was on the HOS / Probation List was acceptable.
  18. Not all signature series books have to be 9.8's. There is one Captain America book that I am a big fan of. Over the years, I have picked up two copies of Cap 109 and an homage to Cap 109. Captain America 109 - CGC 7.0 Signed by Joe Simon Captain America 1 - John Romita Variant Cover - CGC 9.6 Signed by Joe Simon Captain America 109 - CGC 9.5 signed by... no one...
  19. Oh yeah... and Studio Series Kup came in the mail a couple of months early. Interesting play feature... the limbs are designed to peg on and off like that to simulate a segment in the cartoon where Kup was dismembered.
  20. I just came across this from four years ago. Apparently some of the rubber parts are not only breaking down but are disintegrating the plastic they are mounted on. https://www.allspark.com/forums/topic/139436-is-anyones-old-rotf-toys-havingerr-acidic-rubber-erosion/
  21. It in no way is a remark on Reece in any capacity. If there is any sales thread from Rick Starr in the future, given the precedent set in the past @thehumantorch, and unless anything has changed, it is permissible for ONE post to be made mention of in someone's sales thread that the seller is currently on the HOS List or Probation list without it being considered thread crapping along with a link to the issue.
  22. I agree with casting Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The guy has the look and the attitude. Although, I want to see Reeves in another aspect of the MCU.
  23. Ha - That's a fact. I have heard a lot of that over the years. I never got into X-Files, I did not think that the Matrix sequels were as horrible as some complained that they were, (they were just not as good as the first one which raised a bar pretty far to reach), but I still think that LOST was one of the best shows of all time.
