  1. And I have to disagree with your reading comprehension skills. Go re-read what I wrote... you even quoted it. MAYBE not in this case because he did not use the word "restored" I also have to reread what I wrote because I jumbled the second sentence... but re-reread...
  2. There were MANY incidents that occur. When we were teenagers we didn't get to the point that EMT was wheeling us away on stretchers. There were bodies of teenagers 15-16 passed out on the ground. EMT were working overtime yesterday... I have been going to the show for over 20 years with two buddies of mine and we host a tailgate... It is not our age, it is the fact that it gets worse every year. There is some truth to what @lizards2 said in that it is a circus. When we first started going we could get there at noon and be at the main lot. Now there are people lining up at 3:30am (saw the pics on FB) to get into the main lot and they start boozing that early in the morning. Many of them are not even going to the show. There are more people in attendance in the parking lot while the show has not sold out in the last two years.
  3. I usually don't like to drink too many when it is hot or I am outside all day. Strange but true... never have... I drank more water than anything else yesterday... I was there from 10ish AM until after the show was over at night and had a total of 4 beers.
  4. I was impressed this year... I was standing up at the BBQ drinking a Kona out of the bottle. Three police officers walked right past me, (I raised my beer bottle to say 'hi') and went right to a tailgate about four or five tents down. Jones Beach decided to FINALLY crack down on the underage day drinking that is getting out of hands. They seized all of their alcohol and sent the kids packing.
  5. MAYBE not in this case because he did not use the word "restored" But in terms of if something is worth fighting for in general, I disagree with you. It IS worth fighting it and sometimes amounts to nothing more than 20 minutes of your time. I say the following if what the original poster was true. Book CLEARLY advertised as restored. (Title, Seller Notes, Description, (Maybe twice in the description - and NOT surrounded by a wall of text) Buyer's complaint is that the book came back restored. Then... You are obviously never going to do business with the buyer again if you take the book back. The buyer is never going to business with you if you do not take the book back - you still would not anyway because of the headache. Why encourage bad behavior? If you take the book back and block him he simply moves on to doing it again but to possibly me... or you... Yeah, I have 20 minutes of my time to call PayPal and have them review the listing and close the case.
  6. I was wasting away in Margaritaville all day and night (yes we go to the show)... what happened?
  7. As a joke I sent my friend's information to an agency like that saying he was interested in being a model. They will not stop calling his phone.
  8. I have a hard time believing that for some reason.
  9. So these are not yours? https://www.google.com/search?q=gabe+Uchiha&rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS717US717&oq=gabe+Uchiha&aqs=chrome..69i57.2151j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  10. Since everyone else apparently gets a journal, maybe I should claim some space too... I'm just another schmo that has a lot to say about things that most nobody cares about.
  11. Gabe... Uchiha is your last name though ?
  12. A bag of ? Awwww... edited my word out...
  13. I feel like this thread is one 'gofundme' away from being epic. @jaybuck43 It still could be worse... he could be asking for donations to pay off his debts and take out a PayPal loan while simultaneously responding to fake Craigslist ads to buy Star Wars toys after messing around on multiple other forums from toy collecting to tropical fish... Could be that kind of epic...
  14. I am beg beg begging someone to link me to the kid's social media profiles... I heard they were posted in this journal. @kav you are good at that stuff... find it... I heard it is a treasure trove of fun. In the meantime...
  15. I just got home from the beach... was tailgating since 1030am and went to the annual show and just got back... Before anyone says 10:30am? People were down there at 4am to start setting up. Me? I can sleep in and go to the next lot. Soooooooooo.... heard a little rumor that this was shut down... then it was opened.... so what happened... ? Also... I need to find a link to something...
  16. Ever grill peaches? You get a nice sear on the bottom and it turns into a peach cobbler. The trick is picking peaches that are not too ripe so that they grill. The natural sugar in the peach breaks it down. Honestly delicious. Then you buy extra peaches for peach sangria. Night... done.
  17. Never break open the champagne until there is a reason to break open the bottle of champagne. We’ve seen epic collapses before in New York... granted it’s usually those that wear orange and blue but we’ve still seen them. 2007? 2008? Mets? I remember that was Randolph’s team.

Wasn't this an alternative to the LTPC game where members got points by directing new posts to the previously made posts that were similar or the same thing?
  19. Chicken + Pineapple chunks + Pepper on a kabab... Earlier this summer I made Chicken, Shrimp, Pepper, Onion, Pineapple, Mango kababs... (Sometimes I will swap out the chicken for pork loin) The white flakes are coconut shavings.
  20. David Chang opened up a Fuku over in Hudson Yards... https://eatfuku.com/ Now I am no longer restricted to going to MSG or Citi Field for a Section 119 Fuku Spicy Chicken Sandwich.
