  1. I need something for 12 short boxes and about 8 CGC boxes. That fit the short boxes perfectly in terms of height, weight, and depth. I don't think it will hold though.
  2. They had an interesting storyline in the Straczynski run of issues where it was explained this coincidence. It was actually pretty enjoyable.
  3. I am pretty sure that the hate jokes have a long way to go. However, I hate you for asking because it's well known that "We hate it when our friends become successful."
  4. Just a question... as I am turning a bedroom into an office... I was thinking of getting these from IKEA for my comic book boxes. They would definitely fit. However, each shelf has a capacity of 29lbs. Each short box weighs in at around 26lbs. I do not think I am comfortable with that... (Unless anyone feels that it will do the job) Let me know your thoughts or if you can suggest anything let me know. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70301542/
  5. Not only that, the mayhem is also representative of my morning commute on the L train... kidding
  6. Captain America Comics 48 I am still looking for a nice copy of the book but I am putting that on the back burner right now.
  7. The first issue of Brand New Day... when Peter wakes up unmarried with Harry Osborn still alive.
  8. Dum dum da da dum dum dum dum da da dum dum The overhead view is of me in a maze...
  9. I am me and no one else. If I have something to say I will say it. I do not appreciate even a slightly remote insinuation that I am using a shill account to say something.
  10. Thanks for the links... Just wow... $37k for a 4.5 $57k for a 5.0 I agree that the 5.0 looks like a 7.5-8.0 and it is the back cover staining brought the book down... however... $57k for a 5.0...
  11. I cannot seem to access it either. I heard that the AF15 in 4.5 went for $33k What did the AF15 in 5.0 go for? The last I had checked it was at $39k
  12. To further your point, the San Diego Convention Center is already a waste of space... Check out the calendar and expected attendance for each event. https://visitsandiego.com/events SDCC is estimated to host 130,000 but comparing that to other events it already appears as if the entire convention center is just a home for one four day show. I don't know what the local businesses take in for it but it seems like a waste of money.
  13. Registration for Professional Badges opened up today. I am curious to see if Pro's are afforded 3-4 day badges. I applied today.
  14. Professional Badge application forms were sent out this afternoon.
  15. And BTW... I hear Baltimore is a fun show... I might take a trip down there... However if I am going to Baltimore I am getting tickets to an Orioles game. They play the Rays for their final four games of the season. I also plan to look around the city.
  16. I would go to a show like that. I only cosplay as an angry commuter anyway... jeans, t-shirt and a hoodie with a messenger bag. Cosplayers can have their own convention or not show up to the show. They are only buying food and some chotchkies from what I see when I go to these things... they are there to walk around and show off. If it clears the aisle and allows me to not go absolutely insane trying to navigate around someone wearing a pair of giant Final Fantasy anime wings then I am good to go.
  17. All will be known once tickets are made available for purchase and claim.
  18. I should have clarified. I wasn't comparing McFarlane to the Beatles... I was just trying to show that someone can be influenced by a great artist and then go on to have even a greater influence than that in which they were influenced by.
  19. The Beatles were influenced by Chuck Berry. Then they developed their own style and I would say more were influenced by the Beatles. I would say that McFarlane may not be as 'great' as others, but he was definitely a game changer in this hobby across several mediums like almost no other.
  20. I will see what happens once tickets go on sale. If I do not go this year though, then maybe that is not the worst thing in the world. There is still: eBay ComicLink Metropolis Comic / Comic Connect Heritage Auctions BigBadToyStore HasbroToyShop Entertainment Earth and so on...
