  1. How do we get a Greggy Funko Pop figure made? I would be satisfied with either the static one or the bobble head version.
  2. I said that I do not think the ASM 667 variant is worth $10,000. I do not think that AF15 deserves the price it commands across all grades. The money being thrown around is eyebrow raising.
  3. Once in awhile I am given a few longboxes worth of comics by a local dealer to blow out on the boards. I have done that for the past two years. Prices have ranged from 25¢ to $1 a book. Any money raised went toward charity or a school. They have done very well and everyone was pleased from what I know. I am not doing it this year so I am not advertising a sale for them. Not every cheapie sale is a bad thread.
  4. The REAL threat is when you edit your pull list and the comic shop does not adjust their orders from Diamond. Why aren't you picking up this book? I edited my pull list and told you that in three months I would stop picking up that book. Three months have passed. I was serious.
  5. I am waiting for one at less than retail.
  6. Even though I have not been able to capture this flag, I always have fun seeing what everyone else is reading. Have at it everyone. Here... Paperback Writer - Paul McCartney "Good Evening New York City"
  7. This is my worst nightmare... It gets to the point that it is clutter and not a collection. Time to thin out the herd again.
  8. For those that said no, I have some stunning oceanfront property in North Dakota. I won't be able to show it to you, but trust me, it is gorgeous! I also have a stunning stone statue which would look good in any garden. Located on a little island in NYC at present, I can arrange delivery to a location of your choosing...probably. Payment up front please. Ahem the supreme Court said that island is New Jersey thank you very much! If you apply the logic of reading daily intelligence reports, the Supreme Court also said that segregation was permissible so I get to discount every other decision they have made at my discretion.
  9. Both were banned for shill accounts when they were gone on strike. Good to know... I am editing that list.

  11. The Poll Results Francis "Chip" Cataldo is now placed into the Hall of Shame For: 221 Against: 11
  12. And that dates back to 1997! If you read through the entire history it's event after event of a similar nature. How anyone could read that and come down on the side of defending this guy is beyond me. I've never had a problem with the guy personally, but this is something that can't go unchecked on these boards. If you think about it, his negative online history essentially dates back to the beginning of online selling and the popularization of the internet. The internet and emails became popular in the mid 90s, ebay was created in 1995, Windows 3.1 1992. There were online complaints dating back to 1994.
  13. This is one of my favorites... In relation to Brock's CL ad, this demonstrates a similar pattern of behavior.
  14. Finally sending people items owed would've been good enough to get him off of the PL. If you recall, it was the CL "entrapment" that was the last straw for people and pushed things towards HOS nomination. The charity thread and gofundme page are just pieces of the overall picture. There is no statute of limitations here for being a d-bag to your fellow boardies. People here have long memories. I quickly became "not a fan" over the summer when I saw that he had engaged in the same behavior on other areas of the internet and moved on to a new one each time his nonsense was outed.
  15. the big reveal? I forget if I am allowed to talk to you. Kidding... Yes, I believe it is after 3pm EST
  16. So it won't be necessary to post an alert thread in each of the forums? Less than three hours to go until decision time.
  17. Has there ever been a HOS nominee that has had more controversy or responses in the nomination process?
  18. Not going to show the homeless guy sleeping on the subway seats this morning. I was going to but that serves no purpose. Instead I blew the pic up to illustrate what he had in the kangaroo pouch of his sweatshirt. All of the contents spilled out on the floor. Let's see... there is a garden hose nozzle, lighters, bolts and screws, sharp thing-a-ma-bobs. These are not the contents of a person that is I trust is mentally stable. Now... I must say that I feel bad for people like this. I really do. However, I am not going to be foolish enough to stand next to someone like this and talk to them or go near them as the downtown express pulls into the station. Chip may have obstacles... however, once again, I will say it. He has worn out his welcome here. I would never send him money ever again.
  19. I want to address this specific point about Chip being a "multiple offender." I would agree, however, his offense seems to be that he ships late, has poor communication, BUT he will eventually deliver the books that were purchased. I have not heard from anyone that has paid for books and not received the goods (current transactions are still pending as he appears to be in the process of shipping). To me, that behavior is not HOS worthy. It's a nuisance and I wouldn't want to deal with it, but it is not the level of malice that I require for a HOS vote. I asked you once earlier today, before the flurry of discussion....where do you place the GoFundMe deception in this entire saga? And for that matter where do you place his disappearance after accepting funds in November followed by his claims of inability to contact anyone or ship anything due to losing his job, etc. but leaping on craigslist opportunities demonstrating both means and time that he denied having? Does serial lying in the midst of business dealings along with attempting to induce monetary donations under false pretenses move the needle at all? It would seem someone who only fulfills his obligations when the hammer is brought down on them and deceives and lies and hides until he's left with no other option is a pretty low bar for honest dealing. I didn't see your post about the GoFundMe fiasco. I participated in that charity thread and I was pissed after more information came out. I felt taken advantage of; however, I don't think his deception was intentional. I think he believed that paying off his paypal loan was part of his emergency. It should have been disclosed where all the money he was asking for would be going, but we also should have asked for a more itemized list from the get go. I thought it was on the shady side, but withholding information is not the same to me as actively providing false information. They're both bad, but the latter is worse. I don't see Chip as the master manipulator that seems to be the consensus. I don't give him that much credit. His tendency to wait until pressure is applied is also troubling, but not decisive for me. The fact is that he is now fulfilling his obligations when his fate is all but sealed on this forum. In other words, he's already been smashed by the hammer this time, but he is still following through. I think his behavior is poor and I wouldn't deal with him without significant safeguards in place, but I don't think his behavior is HOS worthy. I reserve the HOS for people like GoodsNewsComics. Adding my thoughts on the craigslist incident. I don't put much weight in the idea that his searching craigslist proves he had the time to ship his books. It literally takes 5 minutes to do a quick craigslist search and send an email. My emphasis earlier on the value of the hypothetical star wars lot is important here. If the lot was worth $300 and he would have to pay $150 plus driving to acquire it; that is far more damning to me than if the lot was worth $1000 and he could quickly flip it in which case clearing a quick $700 for someone in his current situation would make sense. How about this then - instead of assessing the value of the imaginative Star Wars lot, address the fact that he supposedly doesn't have access to a computer to let his customers know what's going on but does have the computer access to search for stuff on Craigslist. I can only wonder what his defense will be at the next message board or forum where he has problems.
  20. Roy, just for the sake of clarity, is his eBay account not still active? and if so, do you know why it is not? I'm not talking about a store with fees, I mean the regular account. I know I bought some things from him there maybe 6 months ago. He is no longer a registered user. I just checked "chips-comics" and that is what came up. I went through my feedback to find it as if you search for the storefront it simply says that the store does not exist.
  21. I will be very surprised if Chip sticks around here if he is no longer "allowed" to buy and sell on these boards. If you look at the history, he seems to find some place new after getting caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
  22. I think Solarcadet went straight to the HOS as well. That one I could definitely be wrong about.
