  1. This was one of the VERY few 30+ page threads of Cals that were not locked. I thought it should be revived for posterity.
  2. By my reckoning What Golden Age Quality Comics hero, in his civilian identity, may have appeared as a background cameo (does not affect the story) in a Spidey title? Hint1- The "Cameo" was on the splash page. I give up.
  3. Yes! I read up on that and that it was basically a Netflix exclusive. Season 2 Episode 3
  4. I was one of those kids Learned to play Magic there...I did spend cash...there...bought a Beta Lotus, Legends packs, and probably about a case or more worth of revisedI, also bought and played Spellfire and Illuminati......loved Jeff and Serge...great guys...there was a 3rd guy involved I think, but never met him...heard there was difference of opinions that caused the closings but I was young then....moved over to Comic Book Depot for my MTG needs after that... I only shopped there to finish up my vintage Star Wars collection. If I remember right, one of the owners was a music teacher and I forget what the other guy did. After Collector's Comics closed they allowed one of the guys from Collector's to run the store so they could focus on other things. Shortly after the store shut down. Back then I mostly shopped at another local comic store that is also long gone. Trying to remember who was who from Collectors in Wantagh... Owners moved out of state and sold the business. Joey wound up working for Diamond and eventually passed away at a young age from an illness. Zeb(?) wound up opening a store on Wantagh Avenue called Collector's 2000 that was short lived. Unknown (Dave? Doug?) wound up running Powerhouse...
  5. Just started watching and finished Season 1 on Netflix. Anything I should pay special attention to? So far I am impressed. It's almost like the Batman: The Animated Series of this generation. The voice acting, animation and writing goes well beyond what I would have expected. There were already a couple of episodes that explored themes that I am sure were meant more for adults than for kids. Anyway... On to season 2.
  6. I did not post the whereabouts of the listing nor the seller. I find the seller to be reputable and do not believe that they would engage in that behavior. Thanks Jordy for not putting it in this thread as I wouldn't want a google search to link the seller and the questions raised here potentially harming the seller's reputation.
  7. No, I don't think he did. He would have if you wrote to him in frenchie. I don't follow enough hockey.
  8. See how I gave you mess, but then engaged you in a friendly manner? You're welcome. I never did get that Tec 48...
  9. Is your thread resurrection finger broken? He just needs help finding the threads. Just resurrected my very first thread
  10. I think there are other threads that should be brought back from the ashes.
  11. I wasn't around for Cap Freak - probably a good thing
  12. Zeck's GI Joe covers are simply amazing
  13. I called it - I knew there would be a pressing thread
  14. I submitted some books for this auction. I want to see how they go... I don't plan on buying anything though.
  15. It's an opinion shared by others. I enjoyed Rogue One more then Force Awakens, which I have not rewatched after seeing it in the theatres. It was a decent popcorn movie, but not worth the wait and hype we all had to endure. Which is a shame, because Star Wars Clone Wars/Rebels has taken a more interesting tack on fleshing out parts of the SW universe that were largely unexplored, or touched upon only in novels. It just seems to me the sooner they are done with the Skywalker saga, the better we as Star Wars fans will actually be served. Agreed... BTW... I JUST started watching the animated Clone Wars and I must say I am quite impressed. I am up to Season 1 Episode 17. It gets better if you already like it. I am enjoying it quite a bit. Each episode is only 23-24 minutes so they fly by. I like the overall story telling though. Way... more than I expected.
