eBay is definitely not fixed, nor will it be. They removed a host of categories like Golden Age, which were essentially mandatory and great for searches, and replaced it with an optional age box under item details that sellers will skip and is also currently broken for many users. It's trash, it ruined the saved searches of dozens of board members, and will result in a ton of annoyed collectors....all for no apparent purpose or benefit.
In other words, a par for the course eBay user interface "improvement". If it's not broken, break it.

BriD. reacted to Point Five in Point Five Grading Estimates: Open For Business!
After the news that CGC will now offer grading range estimates based on scans, I realized that I need to hurry and get my piece of the pie while I still can find ways to more efficiently serve my loyal customer base. So here it is: a chance to harness my extensive experience of looking at scans on this very board.
Current turnaround times range from 7 minutes to six months or more. Please review the tiers below, and find the grading estimate that is right for YOU!

Point Five Grading Estimate: $5 tier (Budget Level)
Based on scans, I'll give you a grade of either (G) or (NG). You won't have any idea what grade your book is, but you will sleep much easier knowing that it does indeed have one.
    --
Point Five Grading Estimate: $10 tier (Standard Level)
Based on scans, I'll give you back a grade within a 5 point grade range, i.e. if your book is a 3.5, I'll give you back an estimate of 1.0 to 6.0. At this tier I'll probably only look at your scans on my phone while my kid is punching me.
    --
Point Five Grading Estimate: $20 tier (Prime Level)
Based on scans, I'll give you a grade estimate within a 3 point grade range, i.e. if your book is a 3.5, I'll give you back an estimate of 2.0 to 5.0. No phone grades at this tier; I'll be looking at your scans on my monitor while eating lunch.
    --
Point Five Grading Estimate: $50 tier (Preferred Level)
Based on scans, I'll give you a grade estimate within a 1 point grade range, i.e. if your book is a 3.5, I'll give you back an estimate of 3.0 to 4.0. I'll be looking at your scans on my monitor while eating lunch, but I'll wipe the screen first.

    --
Point Five Grading Estimate: $200 tier (Elite Level)
At this tier, you will ship the actual book to me, and I will just ship it on to CGC and let them deal with it. Because they are trained professionals who know what they're doing, and I'm just a guy horsing around on the internet.

That's about it folks. Operators are standing by!

Okay, the market's crazy, I can't get my GPA to work, and I don't really want to sell this book all that much. So, I'm just going to make up a number and we'll see what happens. For all I know this is low, I don't have any idea.
I hate to offer this one, but I'm downsizing my collection and though it's adjacent to some of my collecting interests, it's not really a fit for my collection. Plus I'm trying to raise some money to make comics. So...

    Wow Comics #38 - 6.5 - $2900 $2500
A couple notes - this has some mild tanning on the cover. PQ is... I don't have an OWL card, so I'm winging it here, but let's say cream? As there's a bit of tanning to the interior as well.
There's a small tape pull on the back cover, not my doing, but whoever it was thank god is was on the back.
FC has a small non-cb bend in the top right corner.
This book is incredibly flat and tight as a drum. And looks tremendous. BC looks better in hand than in scans as the scans emphasize everything - the little ncb tweaks along the bc spine tell me this has likely never been pressed, I know I haven't touched it.
Tanning is my biggest weakness in grading, so I am going to go with the grade that was given to the book by the boardie whom I bought it from here a decade ago, which is 6.5, and trust that he is a better grader than I. Looks nicer to me! But we all have our weak spots.

For this one, payment will be check or money order.

Since this hasn't been crossed out yet in the first post I'll bring it up again. it would be nice to be able to see full messages and posts with pictures within email notifications. This is how it was before the change . Sometimes the email does not require gong to the site but now there's no way to know. Often the message is just dots   ...  Maybe the point is to force people to visit the site, who knows.
Also, since I'm talking emails, does everyone get this in every email? If there's one email with multiple notifications from the same thread it's there between each one. Always the same 2 very old  suggestions. This isn't a new problem. it's been like this a long time. Can I get rid of it?

Just got this one back from CGC. I knew it had brittle pages but a bit disappointed with the split interior pages (which weren’t disclosed by Heritage). I didn’t notice from the page count I did either.
Oh well! I love this one for it’s Iger signature, bright cover colors, first Mars appearance, and the scarcity!
(Also, how does CGC not recognize Zolnerowich as the cover artist? He literally signed it!)
