  1. Found this in SF this weekend, I didn't realize until I opened it that it had a Moore story. Specifically, it reprints "Cold Snap" from the Food for Thought benefit book:
  2. I could be wrong... or just referring to how people I know use it... but I never have heard 1st wrap being used to mean the cover in describing a cover. I've seen book dealers call the cover "wraps" , but always in the plural, and with no numbering. Also, "wrap" is one of those words that starts to look really weird if you stare at it too long, but that's neither here nor there.
  3. If I had a comic book in the six figure range... I would buy a plane ticket and hand deliver it in most cases, or hire a courier. $1000 to move a $100,000 book seems quite reasonable in the circumstances. Disclaimer: I have never had a book even remotely close to that price range.
  4. I find it interesting how the one copy being trimmed higher makes a small but noticeable difference in the impact of the cover.
  5. @wpbooks01, let us know if you decide to sell some of the books... there's definitely some I'm interested in.
  6. On the wall of a sandwich shop. I may have shared this on an earlier SF visit, but who cares? It’s a great Griffin poster.
  7. Found this at KAYO Books yesterday
  8. This weekend’s books, from either KAYO Books or Amoeba Records:
  9. Found at KAYO Books in SF yesterday. I never seem to find this series, and I’ve wanted to see what it was like for a long time now:
  10. The store is actually called Haight & Ashbury. Kinda tourist trap stuff, but that can be fun in small doses. I waited to respond to get pictures, since I was walking up to Amoeba based on your recommendation anyway. I’ll get pictures of what I got there later.
  11. I think the Power Records all count as Bronze, even if a few of the late rereleases are edging towards early copper
  12. I’m on vacation, away from my Warrens. So no post from me until later in the week.
  13. Your choice, is 112 or the 113 from a new publisher the true last issue? Plus a couple other Warren last issues:
  14. Since I never expect to see the original, this is a nice find at KAYO Books today;
  15. One more. Low grade, but how often do you see D-2? No way I wasn’t spending the $3
  16. Making my annual visit to SF to visit my sister, so today was the KAYO Books pilgrimage, along wit a few items from other stores yesterday:
  17. Two from KAYO Books today. The Blue Book has a Damon Runyon story:
  18. Found at KAYO Books in SF today. Not high on my personal priority list… but at $20 there was no chance I was leaving it there, either:
  19. The last time I was in SF, I had to report I didn’t see a single underground in the vicinity of Haight Ashbury. This time, it went better. Not a huge selection, but Mr. Natural #3 was one I needed. And as a comic geek, buying an underground on the corner of Haight Ashbury was just a perfect moment.
