Just some I already had scanned, and I figure the UK reprints are probably less often seen than the US versions anyway. Such a stunning artist.

We may have, I can't remember way too much stuff. If it's redundant, I sincerely apologize.

Also, a question for the Warren experts: I'm trying to figure out exactly what Warren issues Vampirella appeared in outside of her main title. This is what I've got: Creepy 50 (Cover only?) Comix International 4, 5 (Reprinting stories from Vampirella 46 and 55, respectively.) Eerie 94, 95, 130 Vampirella Annual 1972 Vampirella Special (SC and HC versions exist) Anybody know of anything I'm missing from the list? (I'm currently running 50/50 on the actual books.)

The Unofficial Underground Comix thread...
OtherEric replied to 50 Cent #II (1st)'s topic in Comic Magazines
I'm pretty sure it's an "official" sticker, at least... a lot of undergrounds have those round stickers with a distinctive font to bump the price, although I see them more on Print Mint books. -
I don't have any answer for this other than "it depends". Some of the British editions are almost identical to the US editions, some drop illustrations or stories, and other changes. My gut reaction is they're usually less than the US versions, but that's far from universal, and given the increased interest in UK comic variants I could see UK pulps jumping as well. Further confusing the issue is there are at least some pulps... Astounding in the late 30's comes to mind... which have UK editions that have the US price on the cover. I'll try to dig out my one example and show it here.

I don't have the Warren Companion. I do have the CBA issue that formed the initial basis for the book, though:

I only recognize one of the sources for the cover: Virgil Finlay illustration from the December 1951 issue of Famous Fantastic Mysteries, for Pickman's Model:

I think there's one new story and the rest are reprints. It's the first two Treasury Editions that claim to be new but are almost entirely reprint, if I recall correctly.

Sorry I didn’t respond earlier, you would probably get more details over in the magazine forums. In my experience every issue of EPIC has good stuff, but they’re all mixed bags.

See, I was thinking the Vicki was the real unicorn here. Infamously the hardest Atlas/Seaboard title to locate.

Moderns that are heating up on ebay!
OtherEric replied to thirdgreenham's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
Fish Police was an excellent series. I should pull it out and reread it one of these years. -
I can definitely see the case for this as the best subforum for BLBs, but I also think they should move the paperback thread here as well. I’ll post a pic or two when I get home tonight unless the majority votes down posting this thread here. My collection is very small but has at least a couple nice items.

Double cover question
OtherEric replied to Bruce Hunter's topic in Newbie Comic Collecting Questions
Yes, but they also have a slight tendency to come in groups. If something is screwing up the mechanism and allowing double covers to be created, it's more likely to happen on other copies of the book or other books that came out the same time. -
I love all the books people are sharing here but I'll go with the original as well. My copy is the 1951 reprint, still happy to have it. I should scan or photograph & post all my DC Rudolphs somewhere this season as well. (My scanner can't handle the treasuries)

Emerald City Comic Con new date-December 2-5, 2021
OtherEric replied to Murphman13's topic in Comic Events
Saturday was supposedly sold out; I skipped it. Today was busier than Thursday or Friday, although most dealers I talked to said they were doing pretty well on Friday. Dates for next year are August 18-21, which is much better, although still doesn't feel 'right' for ECCC. We're supposed to be the first big show of the year, starting off the season... -

The Official Groo Appreciation Thread!
OtherEric replied to mrwoogieman's topic in Copper Age Comic Books
Got this at ECCC today, the book is badly rippled but quite readable. Well worth the $0.00 the dealer charged me for it. -
Creepy 2 has been described as a book that drops a point just looking at it. Two points if you look at it wrong. Slightly more seriously, a lot of the magazines have dark covers or solid color borders that are completely unforgiving.

They're all desirable, for both the Frazetta covers on every issue and some of the best war comics ever created in the interiors. #1 is notoriously hard to find in grade. Here's my copy of #3, from the John G. Fantucchio pedigree:
