  1. Just under 48 hours until the 2/27 Parade. Make sure you scan your copy and join in the fun!
  2. This make we want to get a print of a really classic cover and frame it up. Looks great (thumbs u
  3. Eastman & Laird reteam for ‘TMNT’ 30th anniversary
  4. So much nostalgia right there! I must have owned every one of those VHS collections when I was a kid.
  5. I'm also very curious to see how Marvel Preview 4 (1st Starlord) does. Its Magazine size, so I wonder if something that silly will turn off some people? Its a rather interesting first appearance for a character that it looks like will be making a big jump into the mainstream consciousness. Keep an eye on marvel spotlight Starlord vol 2 #6. First marvel "comic book" Starlord. Strange, as this one is the same thing as hulk 271, being first comic appearance of starlord, but has yet to see much action like rocket raccoons first comic appearance... I think the difference is that Starlord is on the cover of his first appearance. RR is not. Hence the increased interest in #271.
  6. "Anything we couldn't afford was a "someday I'll have it" kind of book." Wizard Magazine was the seed for my comic collecting. It didn't germinate until I was about 26, but I can trace it all back to that rag. Perusing the priceguide at the back introduced me to alot of those 'someday I'll have it' books. "Huh, so that was Sabretooth's first appearance..."
  7. How can you possibly concentrate on what's on TV with all those nice books sitting above? Nice setup!
  8. This book is essentially a mega key in the Batman mythos. Some day I will write up a lengthy post about how important this book is. It also isn't hurting it any that is the origin of Deathstroke. Finally the black cover does make it tougher than average to find in very high grade compared to many other CA books. (Only 50 or so new 9.8 have popped up on the census since it became a hot book mid 2013.) I look forward to reading that post. NTT #44 is a cool book. Missed the boat on that one. I'll have to try and fine one locally so i can put one into the collection.
  9. Well, to be fair, it used to be the reverse (sort of). 227 was reprinted in Limited Collectors Edition C-59 and DC excluded the cover from the book entirely. Which LCE issue has the Batman #232 cover take on it? I have not owned a copy for a bit. That is a cool wraparound cover and reprints the great early Ra's stories. C-51 (thumbs u
  10. I suppose you're right. I guess I'm looking at it as someone who would have wanted to own and keep them in my own collection, not to make money on.
  11. I can totally understand that. I love the interior for 227 - it's some of Novick's best Bat-work, imo. I remember seeing it all up on ebay not that long ago for like 20k. Very much looking forward to the parade on 2/27.
  12. Love this for a nice compact setup. The Nerf sets it off perfectly. (thumbs u
